Falls park in downtown Greenville is pretty good, long shoals roadside park in Pickens is awesome (thIs might be what you are calling slick rock)

Yes long shoals park. It will be right on the way home. I have been looking for some pictures to see the terrain, but can't seem to find any. My wife will take some tomorrow of our trip and I will try to upload some.
