Art, bill and myself are going up to Neal shoals on Sunday if anyone wants to join! We are going to set up gates and courses to get an idea for a scale comp. We should be up there around 9.

These are the coordinates: 34.665405,-81.446178

You can also fin the loc. on the SCRCC Locations map thread.

Thanks!

How high was the water?

Ajppsc 07-22-2013 10:17 AM

Not very high all the water was more centralized in the channel if that makes sense.

Yes...I was just curious after all the rain we've had I figured it would be flooded or at least 1/2 the rocks would be covered up. If they fixed the boards that broke off the top of the spillway that probably helped keep it under control better as well.

That was actually the first time I had been to the location. There was about a 100' wide section from the bank to the river that rocks were exposed. Tons of different terrain however those rocks were slick with the moss growing on it lol . Either way was a great time and we spent around 3 hours there and also didn't cover half the area. Look forward to going there again and I see a scale event in the future!

No promises on what it will look like this coming weekend with all the rain coming in again :)

The upper area was fine. However the area where the finals course (when I was there) was, is under at least 5 feet of water.
