| Glendale Shoals Scouting July 20th
Anyone want to go scout and run some scale trucks at Glendale Shoals tomorrow Morning? The rain is supposed to hold off tomorrow. I'd like to do it in the AM if we can. Leave Chapin around 7:30 or so. Let me know if anyone can make it. Art and Cyrus said they may be down. |

Art, Cyrus, and I are leaving the chapin exit around 8:30 to head up that way. Let me know if you want to join.

Hey guys, I wish I could have made it to the scouting trip but it was a little out the ways for me this time. I hope Lee can help point everyone in the right direction if you have not been there! In my opinion the easiest way to acces it is by taking Emma Cudd Rd. off of Country Club. Parking is avaiable left on the side of the road about 300ft up through the curvy hillside next to ''the shoals.'' You can also access it by parking by the old bridge/dam right at the front as well. Anyways, I was really hoping to focus on some of the hillside to the left of the picnic area / facing the road (30ft hillclimb & large boulders). There is also a really tight deertrail section to the right of the picnic towards the back, just before you reach a barbed wire property line (right along the river). The upper section towards the dam would be best for a team friendly type deal if you wanted to hop around rock to rock / island to island / etc.. However this is just from my past experience, I never did much exploring on the textile side due to less access points. Hope this helps out or makes any sense at all, just wanted to give you my two cents. Last edited by wilbywise; 07-19-2013 at 11:16 PM. |

Had a good time scouting yesterday with a good crowd. This upcoming comp in August will definitely be one to remember, so be sure to get your trucks ready for August 18th!
