Default Carnes Crossroads 01/05/2014 Video to come

I went over to Carnes Crossroads today to do a little test and tune.... IT WAS GREAT.

The landscape out there is perfect for scalers. I put a new spare tire career on my rig last night and wanted to try it out. I also recently put on 125mm aluminum shock bodies... both are coming off as we speak.
The tire adds to much top weight and the shocks raised the CG drastically. I also recently got some RC4WD Rock Crushers because I really liked the way they looked... also no good! They pack with mud easily and the tread compresses together on hard surfaces. I am running Crawler Innovation foams but the tires still do not bend or give at all. I may try to cut them but most likely will swap them out.

I would really suggest checking this place out if your near North Charleston, SC. It is about 45 minutes from my house and its definitely worth the drive.

I sent some videos from today to WilbyWise so look for one of his DECENT videos soon!

Get some TSL's and call it a day lol.. Then you will be able to crawl it out of that batcave in the last 2 pics! That place is one of the best for what I remember it being.

unless you are doing alot of rock crawling I'd stick with the stock foams. The new shocks do look alot long! I run a 3.5 inch shock. So my wraith sits pretty low. The added weight of the rear tire doesn't help at all. If nobody is looking swap the 2.2 tire for a 1.9! You have moved the battery to the front right? If not, do that right now! LOL this should be the first mod. Also run your front shocks in the hole closest to the center of the chassis. Rear the same way towards the center. TSL swampers work good in mud but if you are looking for a mud tire look into the Boggers. If the tire fills up with mud keep blipping the throttle to clean them out.

I appreciate the feedback. That battery is moved forward and the axle mounts have also been flipped. I had some 110mm shocks that were perfect but all 4 blew out at Glendale shoals last weekend, so I got frustrated with top of the line expensive parts and got some cheap "stock" shocks. I'm going to cut them about and inch and see how I like that. I removed the tire all together, it killed the CG. I have always ran my truck low and go... Power with a low CG. This is the opposite of my norm. I also have a video but am rather embarrassed to post it! Haha

Yeah, that place is a great find. WilbyWise told me about it a few months back, I live about 20 mins from there so I usually go there to do some running.
Good pictures, I'll be waiting to check out the video.

Keep in touch and maybe we can meet up out there sometime.

Here's a couple pics from the last time I was out there.
