Default Traxxas TQ1 Help

I just bought the TQ1 for the 4ch with 5ch receiver. 3 position switch to run my RC4WD winch. I found to need to do this little mod to get the switch to be a 3position switch only. by doing this. Traxxas TQi 4 channel transmitter mod tutorial

http://www.rcsparks.com/forum/genera...-tutorial.html

now when i hook it up it works you can control id going in and out just fine, but when its in the OFF position it continues to run slightly like having the throttle trim just a little off. dose know how and what to do to get it right.

You need to go into the menu and set channel 3 trim

Yes, if you don't have the manual for the radio, go to Traxxas' website and you can download the manual. I will tell you how to make all your adjustments.

I just looked at the transmitter manual and the radio mod. There isn't a way to adjust the trim on ch 3 because it was initial intended to be a 2 position switch. All you are able to do is reverse the direction. I would try doing the if you haven't already. If that doesn't work the only other thing that I can think that you could do is trace the circuit board for that channel and if there is some sort potentiometer in the circuit, adjusting it very slowly may take care of the problem.

another option you can try is this. Go thru the the first 5 steps of the programming to reverse the servo, then instead of pressing set the final time press menu. If the red light blinks twice, use the multi-function knob to see if that takes care of the problem. If that works press the set buttom to save the setting and then press and hold the menu button to get out of programming mode. I would go thru the process of setting the knob back to what ever you had it set for prior to making the adjustments.
