I spoke with Jeff, he said the comp at the shop course will be a mix of points and time. He is having to change from their regular format to accommodate the massive amount of drivers.

Finally got situated and whatnot, we will be staying @ the Hampton Inn.. Me & Fritzn19 are going to be leaving Charleston early Friday morning to get there as early as possible. We are planning to check in around lunch and then head straight over to RRW to help out. I spoke with Jeff earlier this week about the layout, it will be almost identical to how Coven Quest G6 was ran..

* So what is everyone's plans, who is riding with who and where are you staying?

* Does anyone have a pop up cover to bring? Considering we have a large group coming, we need about 2 of them to set up a station!

We (Christina and myself) are leaving Friday morning as well and coming back Monday.

Haven't booked a room yet. Looking at the host hotel and a few others on Expedia.

Gonna get a pop up and take my folding table.... "thumbs up"

Me and Kim will be heading out of Mississippi early friday morning and probly wont get to Garden Palm Inn in Ocala till latish probly round 8 or so . We will be leaving sometime sunday afternoon.

Jimmy, joe, me, and maybe bill are rolling out Friday morning around 10am from Columbia. We are leaving Sunday mid day probably.

KRAWLFEST CLASSES

This is a G6 Style Event for scale vehicles

No HOG

Extra Batteries are required as the Krawl outback on 1:1 course is a long one

CLASSES

1.9 EXPLORER - All makes and models of scale vehicles with 1.9 scale tires. If you have stretched a 1.9 tire over a 2.2 rim, you are in this class.

2.2 EXTREME - All makes and models of scale vehicles with big tires! No matter what axles you have them mounted on, if it’s a 2.2 scale tire, this is your class.

10 & UNDER YOUNG GUNS - age of 10 or under – any tire size any scale vehicle

DRIVIN' DIVAS CLASS - For all the lady drivers any tire size any scale vehicle

EXTRA CHALLENGES

Tow Class - This class is for 1.9 scale drivers that enjoy pulling a trailer on their scale adventure. Not mandatory for the event just an extra challenge for those that want to participate

Mud Drags –an extra challenge for those who want to participate – 1.9 OR 2.2 tires (no rice and cane) scale tires only - you are allowed to use a different vehicle but it must be scale

Pulling - an extra challenge for those who want to participate 1.9 OR 2.2 TIRES ONLY (SCALE)

Other surprise challenges to be announced at event

Classes are basically self explanatory but will again be explained at the Drivers meeting prior to the Krawlfest start

$10.00 TO ENTER AS MANY CLASSES AS YOU WANT TO RUN
5 LAPS AROUND THEN UP ON THE FORMER NITRO STAND TO DETERMINE LINE UP

We will start taking registrations Friday 11 am for those coming in early. Registration Saturday morning starts at 8 am - Event starts soon as registration finishes

SOME PORTIONS OF THE EVENT ARE ON THE 1:1 COURSE OUT BACK OF THE MARKET AND SOME PORTIONS OF THE EVENT ARE ON THE RRW KRAWL ZONE

THIS IS A G6 STYLE EVENT SO EVERYONE IS ENCOURAGED TO HELP OTHERS ALONG THE WAY. THIS IS A NO HANDS EVENT. IF YOU WANT TO RUN WITH A PARTNER IT IS UP TO YOU

RULES AND RECOMMENDATIONS

* A tow strap is mandatory.

* A winch is not mandatory, but highly recommended.

* A spare tire is not mandatory, but highly recommended. A Driving Challenge may or may not require the use of a spare tire.

* 10 scale items are mandatory. (A RTR Axial scx10 meets this requirement)

** Need for speed? You may be required to drive from one location or run behind your rig and navigate tough sections, so be prepared! Day run is lengthy so extra batteries are going to be required – Please be prepared

** Course will have fast sections and also very technical sections

** SORCCA banned tire list applies

* Any “Items” found during the day run must be secured to the vehicle for the duration of the run & turned into Hobby Shop when you turn in your time card. Your time finishes when you return to the hobby shop and hand over your card to the young lady that will be there collecting them.

* If you need to repair your vehicle you must move it off to side of the course - mark the info under notes on your score card - your time keeps running - then return to the track in the same place and keep on Krawlin’ - - - - -

* Bring your rigs, tools, spare parts, chargers and plenty of charged batteries in your carry pack/back pack. Make sure you have water/drinks and/or snacks in your carry pack/back pack to stay hydrated. Day run is a long run

* AC power is not provided for battery charging when we are out back on the 1:1 course (Sat day run) – AC power is provided up by the hobby shop

* No open toed shoes are allowed – make sure you have good sturdy comfortable footwear as there is a lot of walking and moving around obstacles

* Rain coats. Mud boots? We will run rain or shine - that’s your choice.

* This event has been set up to be a great adventure and fun for all involved

Forecast now is showing rain and 60* so everyone be prepared. I'm going to pick us up some ponchos and take extra shoes/clothes just in case. We are leaving early Friday morning and should be at the shop by lunchtime.
