Southeast Shootout qualifying series

Working on the final details this week for the Southeast Shootout and the qualifying series.

Penalties and rules will be the same for the series as the Southeast Shootout. Those are subject to change and will be made public if the rules for this year's event change.

Series details:

- 3 SORRCA Class 2 events
- Drivers worst score will be dropped
- Best 2 of 3 scores will be your qualifying score
- 25 minimum scale points
- Minimum of 3 courses
- 5 minute limit per course
- 40 penalty points per course

Event dates

- March 4th @ Dravo (subject to change)
- April 8th @ tbd
- May 6th @ tbd

We will kick this off March 4th at Dravo for both NC and SC drivers looking to attend this year's shootout event.

NC drivers will have 2 separate events in North Carolina. Possibly at the bullhole and pineneedle locations. Dates and details for those are in the works as of now.

As of now, the series will determine the top 8 for each state with an LCQ in late August/September to qualify the final 2 drivers for each state along with an alternate for each state.

The Southeast Shootout for 2017 will be hosted in Tennessee (preferably mid October).

No maximum. Minimum scale points are required to keep the rigs semi scale. Scale points are not deducted from your course scores.

Marcus we will be reserving spots for the LCQ so that you can get in even if your work schedule conflicts with the qualifying event dates.

NC's official first qualifying event is tomorrow then they will announcing the event dates and locations.

Right now they will be mostly in Western NC (west of Greensboro) with an LCQ late summer at the bullhole more than likely.

I am helping with the NC stuff and can put you in touch with their coordinator if it's something you're interested in getting into.
