3rd annual Southeast Shootout is set....

Location: 36 Pitts Gap Rd, Graysville Tennessee
Date: September 22nd
Time: 8:00am until

This will be the same 10 man state format as ran the past 2 years. Driver's must be from the state the reside in unless a team can NOT get there 10 required drivers then substitutes from other states will be allowed to fill those spots.

All driver scores for the state they are representing will be accumulated to determine the states overall score.

SORRCA Class 2 only (rig is subject to all rules for that class set forth by the committee)

Minimum of 25 scale points (possibly changing to 30 point minimum once voted on by the reps for each state)

Courses will be capped at 5 this year instead of each participating state building a course. Each course will consist of 10 gates, a start line, and a 5 minute time limit.

Courses will be set by named states and to be decided at a later date. More Intel and event page coming soon.

We (Larry and myself) have been watching as a few issues have reappeared this year even though we were told changing last year's state representative would remedy a situation and others had been completely out of the scene until now. With that being said, we are forced to make some changes of our own for the good of the group and our event.

1. No drama, arguing, fighting, rude comments, ect will be tolerated this year. We reserve the right to remove any driver from the event, team roster, and event pages if we feel they are in violation. ***This is your only warning***

2. This will be the last year for state teams. We will be coming up with a different format to let drivers represent their state as an individual next year. This format will be including other Southeastern states such as Arkansas, Virginia, and Florida.

3. As of now, August 15th will be the start of state ticket sells.

4. Once we reach the deadline date, each state will have a scheduled day to purchase their tickets.

- Once the predetermined day for a state is reached, tickets will go live for any driver in that state. Tickets will be sold as they are ordered.

- This is where states need to work together as an actual team. If the state can work together fairly and include all drivers interested in the qualifying process to set a top 10, then those drivers will get the tickets for that state.

- If any state can NOT be in agreement, work out their issues, ect in a mature fashion then tickets will be first come, first serve.

- Once that day passes remaining tickets will be made available for other drivers from the Southeast wanting in the event. Florida, Arkansas, Virginia, and overflow from other state qualifying events will be the first drivers eligible to purchase the remaining tickets.

5. Rules, requirements, dates, location, ECT are subject to change if we see it's necessary to make sure this event is the best it can be.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen....

Due to a Tennessee home game vs. Florida the weekend of Sept 22nd, hotels are 3-4 times their normal rates. We don't want this event to break anyone's piggy bank so with that being said, we are moving the even location to

35 Pitts Gap Rd
Graysville, Tennessee

This location was used for the Eastern National W.E. Rock championship in years past so it'll give this year's drivers a chance to run the same type event with your 1:10 scale rigs on the same rocks/lines as the 1:1comp rigs.

Location rules and Intel....

1. Children CAN NOT be left unattended and WILL NOT be allowed to climb on the rocks at any time. We can't express this ruling enough.

We do not want to see anyone's child hurt or have to ask anyone to leave because their child was climbing on the rocks. If you have children and are attending the event, you make want to make arrangements for the children to stay with a family member that weekend.

2. We will have a Port-o-Jon on sight for everyone when/if nature calls during the event.

3. Camping (primative only) will be available at $20 for the weekend for anyone who chooses to do so. They are currently working on getting power for battery chargers to the location. More information on that will be coming soon.

4. Everyone entering the event location must sign a liability waiver. Competitors and spectators. No exceptions.
