Default Trail King in the Chop Shop! Jeep JK

Picked up a Trail king over the labor day sale as well as a few editions to put it together. Still waiting on a few things but she should be done very soon! I will be using the Jeep JK Body from Amazon... Still Mindblown at the Price and quality. I did a few other tweaks to my trail king just because I cant let it be stock, no matter how flawless it was

Trail King Chassis
HH Torquemaster 35T Brushed Motor
Hobbywing 1080 ESC
SPEKTRUM SR315 Receiver
EcoPower WP120 Servo
SSD Wide Rear Bumper
Reefs RC Sliders - but look different somehow
Hot Racing Adjustable Shock Towers
RC4WD Goodyear MTR Wrangler 4.75"
Injora Beadlocks
ProTek 4100mah LIHV

Time for some Photos of where we are at!

Few Things to do after these pics
*Install Rear Body Post
*Shorten rear Bumper
*Switch to 100mm shocks (Not decided, rear left me desiring more)
*Doublecheck panhard bar, it doesnt look right

You don’t need to shorten the rear bumper posts, just remove the rear bumper mount extension pieces.

Finally had a chance to take out the Trail King to see how she would handle. Only a single battery and a fairly easy area but I was VERY impressed in the Weight Bias of this chassis and the buttery smooth transmission. Very nimble and never wanted to tip - Ventured new lines I didnt know was possible. The Goodyear MTRs are the first time out too, they complimented the handling very well. Heres some pics, I will try to get more videos its just hard one handed lol

Nice build and pics. Can you compare the performance of the Trail King to the Enduro?

I thought of buying the TK Labor Day too but held off as I haven't heard much regarding the performance.

I'm trying to get a few more terrain tests in to get a more fair comparison.

My Enduro runs on 100mm shocks and Flat Iron XL 1.9s so I'll avoid pros due to those benefits. (Such as travel and clearance)

So far I love how low the CG is on the Trail king & the weight distribution. For climbing, descending, & general rock crawling it's doing a fantastic job. No front bumper on the Trail King gives a slight advantage as well for angles of approach.

The Enduro turns VERY sharp, not sure what's up with that lol it's addicting to drive for how sharp it turns. I do run a Protek 370 BTL Servo on the Enduro which could be a reason but before I had it on the same ecopower that is on trail king currently and noticed the same. No hard stats to compare tho. The Enduro also is more forward weight bias so uphill climbing trails tend to be in it's favor. I do find it tips a bit easier side ways and forward especially on downhill. I added a spare tire in rear of Enduro to help offset weight.

I'll get some Enduro pics up too soon

Added the Pro44 Metal Diff Covers along with the brass steering knuckles & Pro44 Rear Weights

Cant wait to see how it handles now. Rear tire really messes up my CoG but this should keep it down in the front a little more on climbs

Almost exactly what I'm looking at doing. Just curious which springs did you use with the hard body?
