did you use when building your shocks? Why did you choose that oil (weight of rig/body, type of use, etc... And how has it worked out? Good? Bad? Indifferent? Change any oil springs since? Im at that stage, and it's been a while. Thinking of starting out with 40 in the front, but maybe 50 or 60 in the rear for now. But looking for others experience and knowlegebase on your set ups. |

I used 30wt front and rear. That's a bit thinner than typical for me, mostly because I'm running a (fairly light) Lexan body for now and I found the springs to be a bit stiff so I wanted "loosen" the shocks up as much as I could. I'm still not totally satisfied with the ride height for this body though (Proline 4Runner), if I was going to stay Lexan for the body I would probably find slightly softer springs and use 30 in the front with 40-50 in the rear. I'm working on heavy hard body for it though so I think once the extra mass is top of the chassis the springs will probably be about right and then I'll re-tune the shocks, I expect that I'm going to end up with about 30-40 in the front and probably about 50-60 in the rear. |

I went with 35w all around. I use that as a baseline & tune from there. Haven't had a chance to test the truck much though. Mine's is on the lighter side so the 35w might stay for a bit.
