It has begun: SSD TK -LC70

A little earlier than planned, i‘ll start with my winter project and build the TK chassis.
What more to say, than it was a pleasure to build it up!
And so we have a roller...

Following! Looks like it’ll be a fun build! What’s you’re plans for it? I saw it and instantly thought some weathering would look great [emoji106]

Love the scale engine also.

No weathering till the first scratches and dents... I don't even know which color i should go for.
Engine will get some weathering for sure. Just to look more like a real one...
This build takes as much time it needs to do it properly.

Yeah, I’m with you. You can tell when builds are rushed, I’m guilty of it.

Looks great so far, have you decided on how you are mounting it at the front?

I designed a quick release system for the front, which incorporates using the killerbody arb ally bumper.

I have pretty much finalised it, and it works quite well for how low I was able to get the body on 4.19 tires.

I haven't taken any close up pics yet, as i am having a break form the build atm, but this is the fusion 360 pics of it.

The locking button has a spring behind it and can be accessed at the front to depress the button for locking the body down or pushing it in to release it.

The top mount screws directly over points in which you might mount it if using killerbody mounts, but with the added part of being able to screw from the top for more rigidity.

This also allows for the use of the bonet release part available.

BAAAMMM!
That mount looks awesome!
I wish i could do stuff like that in fusion...!
Let me know if you put it on shapeways [emoji6]

At the moment i do not have the inspiration and the calm to work on it...
I replace my E-Revo with a Revo 2.0 and love to bash around with the Revo and the RockRey.

I am more than happy sending you the files, but this mount works with the alloy bar from killer body, and it also is set so that the lc70 body sits 1mm above the sides of chassis plastic bits, and I designed some new sliders to accommodate this.

I will upload all of what I have once I figure out how to do it, and i will show you some pics when i get some.

If you look at crims tk build thread you will see some pics of the sliders and how it all sits

As far as fusion goes, I suggest getting it, and watching some tutorials, as that is how I am learning, and it has opened up a lot of design I can do now for myself with this build.

lmao you'll have that. I've had the urge to pull the trigger on a slash lately.
