I received some parts I ordered from SSD and I installed them on my Capra. The fit and finish associated with these parts are amazing - almost 'work-of-art' stuff. Is the Trail King chassis like that? |

Yes. So far I've built a TRX4, an scx10.2 and a Trail King from kits. The TK was the best in my opinion. The TRX went together fine (minus two knuckle bushing not being included in the kit). The 10.2 was okay but I had issues with gear mesh in both axles, shimming, screw holes not being threaded, etc. The QC just didn't seem to be very consistent. That being said, it's still a good platform for the price. The TK felt like building the 10.2 but entirely from "upgrade" parts. Everything fit together snugly without feeling too tight. The only bit I've ever had come loose was the screw between the servo horn and the servo, which isn't a TK issue. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk |

Pretty much, yup. You get high quality materials that fit perfectly together. The build was pleasant, but driving it is even more so.

OK - kit coming. I've seen some ads - all 'backorder' ads about portal axle kits having been offered by SSD. Was that like a one-time deal or will they be available again? Anyone know? |

So I received the kit and although I've never been a real scale guy I want to give this a try. The one thing I've noticed in the photos and now having received the kit is that the distributor cap is way oversized compared to the rest of the engine. Has anyone come up with an alternative or some way to deal with this other than to just stick in place and live with it?
