Yeah, I like the BJ Super, but I am breaking out an old school chassis for this truck. I had the chance to buy it and just couldnt pass it up!

Thanks! I cut up some teflon last night and got them installed on the axle tubes. I am also picking up the chassis from Shelby this afternoon.....should have some mounted shots this evening...

Haha....was taking care of the kid.

Unmodified Steering:


So far, these links give a WB that is too long (~18.5") so I'm gonna need to mount them differently on the chassis. The GC sits at about 4.5"...which seems good to me. I'll get started on the steering soon enough...

Well, that just looks like it was meant to be. That looks freaking sweet! The pic makes it look much lower than 4.5" GC. You can drill out the axle end of the links with a 1/8" bit and then tap them for 4mm. Then mock it all up and see how much material you will need to shave off the chassis end. Then tap that end out also. That will bring the beef back to those links and get you your 18".

Those Jato springs gonna support that beast?

If you mount your lower links in the center like we do on most Berg chassis will you lose that half inch?

man i dont know. i would LOVE too.. but i just got back into my helicopters and my lovely future wife bought me a Trex 500 for xmas so iv been trying to play with both and if i add another crawler to my RC addiction, i think she might call off the wedding. LOL.

someday i will... maybe for my b-day ill ask for a set of Super Bully Axles. Only month and a half away.

I got the WB down to 18" by inboarding the lower links and I mocked up the upper links. Here are a few pics:
