The last few pieces were waiting on my doorstep this evening.

First, a set of stainless links from R2J:

And my repaired/new BRXL showed up from JRH. I hope to have this wired up tomorrow night and take it for a spin later this week. "thumbsup"

Looks good Jeremy! I was a little worried about the bends in those rears, but they sure look wicked mounted up. What are those cone looking pieces by the rod ends?

JeremyH 12-13-2011 07:27 AM

Thanks Shon! Yeah, the bends are perfect! They just barely miss the uppers before my shock completely compresses and the rear bend follows the gearcase/servo perfectly...hopefully they will provide some protection to the servo!

Those cones are just delrin sliders that ErikDlux sells. They fit perfectly on your links! "thumbsup"

Rig looks totally bitchin' Jeremy, looking forward to comping with ya at Copperstate "thumbsup", take it easy on the old guy though

Looking good Jeremy! Should breakover alot better with those links.

shelljeep 12-13-2011 05:57 PM

Those large radius bends look cool, like rolled tubing.

JeremyH 12-13-2011 07:46 PM

Thanks guys! Yeah, I think I am going to like the clearance under those rear links! "thumbsup"

The bend towards the axle looks like it could break any minute. I know these links are strong but it looks like it is a weak point...any opinion?

JeremyH 12-13-2011 08:37 PM

I suppose time will tell..."thumbsup"

winkscrawler 12-14-2011 08:26 AM

Very nice rear lower links. I love the clearance you get. I am wanting to redo my super with all these rebuilds going on."thumbsup"

Thanks Ryan! There's no need for you to improve your super, you already kick ass with that thing! "thumbsup"

Re: Ivory

Are you still running 55t,if so what pinon are you using?

JeremyH 12-16-2011 08:37 AM

Re: Ivory

Nope, when I swapped in those 65:1 superbully gearboxes I switched to some Brood 35T Bigwires/HHKs. I am going to stick with those motors and see what the torque/wheelspeed is like on these axles. I dropped down to 3S so hopefully the wheelspeed will be kept in check.

Re: Ivory

Well, I ran the 35t's, 12/13 pinions and 4S lipo. I was a fan of the wheelspeed!

Thats on this current setup? Did you try 3s? Got a link to some decent size (smallish) 4s?

JeremyH 12-16-2011 11:00 AM

Re: Ivory

Nope....that was my old setup. I am going to run 3S on this setup. You might send Shelby a PM about some smaller 4S packs...I know he had some that were pretty tiny. "thumbsup"

Re: Ivory

I am going to give 3s a go. I have no idea how it will do though. I thought you might have tried them, gave up and went to 4s.

I do wish there was a tiny pinion avail though. I would think a 9,10t pinion would be great.

Re: Ivory

Nahh....this truck still isnt even running....the electronics are sitting in a pile waiting for me to wire them up. I've been quite busy lately, so not much progress has been made...

IIRC, there is a 10t pinion out there...I might need to try to find it.
