Nope...just a belt sander/dremel/file etc. The sleeve on mine is too tall even with the shim so the next step was to take a little off the sleeve so that when you tighten things down you are putting pressure on the bearings instead of on the sleeve. Without pressure on the bearings you'll get excessive play in the gears and they will skip under heavy loads.

It doesn't have to be precise...

Even the sidewalk might work

Not even close. Just as long as its below the top bearing surface. You could be 1/8, maybe even a 1/4" below the bearing but try to go just under.

Lastly, if you dont want to use the Dremel, sidewalk or even mess with it in general, just hit me up in PM and I will get the correct parts out in the mail today.

I understand things happen. I am not mad. I was kinda mad when I was ripping it off after my first course at nats....but the pouring rain might have had something to do with that.

Manu graciously gave me a set of these cool hub spacers (made by Dlux) at nats and I finally paired them with some Lattice Innovations hubs:

Nice and strong yet, reducing the slop by getting rid of the extra piece.

I am interested to know as well.. I am thinking about running them on my super but I wasn't sure if they would hold up.

Possibly a run of 7075 hubs is needed??
