Well, I thought I was going to get some runtime on this today after work....but a HUGE rainstorm cut that short....it even hailed on me on the short drive home. Here are a few pics: http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...0/P1030284.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...0/P1030285.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...0/P1030275.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...0/P1030276.jpg This thing is a FAWKING blast to drive! |
Looks awesome Jeremy. "thumbsup" Ya that storm was pretty serious. |
Well, I had a free minute so I went back out to the same spot today...this time without the fear of impending doom from the heavens. Here is a short video: <object width="873" height="525"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Eqn4tzpI5L4&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x3a3a3a&co lor2=0x999999&hd=1&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Eqn4tzpI5L4&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x3a3a3a&co lor2=0x999999&hd=1&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="873" height="525"></embed></object> Keep in mind, I've only been using a stick radio for a short while... Oh, and sorry for the shaky vid at the beginning...it was windy! |
Keep it up!! Looking good, what about narrowing it up some/flipping the faces on the other side....? |
Thanks! Yeah, I'd need to narrow the tires to narrow the wheels. I have thought about it, but I really want to run it a while to see if that is necessary. I'll probably run this width for our first comp... BTW, I figured you'd like that song... |
You still using the same springs? |
I am running Jato springs...yellows all the way around.... |

30 Wt. The lack of squatting could be the idiot with the Rx. I need to fiddle with the radio settings. The rear throttle is not setup the same as the front. I wish I could set the Expo for both sticks, but you can only do that with Aileron and Elevator...I need Elev and Throttle. |
First I was like "cool", then I was like "whoa", then I was like "daaaamn", then I was like . Very nice man! Wish I could get my super rollin' like that. "thumbsup" |
Thanks Dude! I still need a lot of practice to be able to keep up with this thing...but is sure is fun to drive! |
How do you have the radio set up again? |
Left stick is all front (vertical is throttle, horiz is steering), right stick is all rear (verticle is throttle, horiz is steering)...and one switch with both throttles mixed. |
That Radio setup takes some getting use two but once you get the hang of it you will love it for sure. If you put a pretty big throttle curve on the rear and some expo so the rear is almost lazy for the first 30-40% of the stick it makes it a ton easier to drive. I know on all my trucks I load the rear really hard all the time and without the curve and expo it is very easy to over power it. |
Yeah, I like the stick setup....it's simple and easy to remember. Thanks for the tip on the rear throttle. |
That video is awsome!! I am glad to see that is running so well. Cant wait to drive it one day. -Jason |
Thanks man! It does need a bit of tweaking. I am picking up a new skid for it this weekend from Ripper7777777 and a set of delrin links from a local guy and I think it will be bulletproof then. You are welcome to drive it! Maybe you can show me how it's done! |
Wow man, that thing is clean clean!8) Can't wait to see it in Galv! Your video skills are impressive too, nicely done. I liked the little transitions. What's the ratio on those cantilever arms? 2:1? And sorry, but I gotta ask... have ya jumped it yet? |
Haha....not sure about the arms. Sadly, I havent taken it of any sweet jumps.... BTW, the video skills are all software.....I use Pinnacle to edit my videos and it is easy as hell. Just drag and drop everything from video files to transitions and text screens. |
So where is the picture of Ebony and Ivory together holding tires? You don't keep them on separate shelves do you?! |
