| Phyuck Yiu's Berg Superjuice
After having problems getting cvd's for my Clod, I decided to try a Berg super. Parts list: Y-Town Superjuice chassis Super 300's Vanquish Berg knuckles Losi 4" shocks/grey springs/JeepinDoug's C-Cups GH servo mounts Custom Heli Parts CF servo plates 2 sets Hpi black 8 spoke wheels narrowed and glassed Rovers and leopards Crawler InNovations dual stage foams New era hexes Holmes 55t w/Robinson 12t pinions three JR 8711HV's w/JR al. horns Jr8103 w/XPS 2.4 module,6 ch. rec, lipo, and G-Force balancer twin FXR's Outrage Xp 1800(3s) and 850(2s) I started by modifying the gear boxes to accept an additional upper link mount and long tube. I then made some single clamp servo mounts and had them powder coated. In my wheel base jig with lower links mocked up. Out of the jig all mocked up. Links done with 10-24 allthread sleeved with stainless tube. I also had stainless shock mounts made and TIG welded to my lowers. Last edited by Phyuck Yiu; 01-24-2010 at 03:11 PM. Reason: added Berg to title |

Very sweet, seeing all these Berg hybrids is making me crazy. I'd love to build one, but in Michigan there really isn't a place to run them:-( Have fun with this bad boy Later, Farmer |

After a couple of comps I decided to clock the rear axle 20 degrees.(Big thanks to winkscrawler for letting me use his clocking tool) I also ground the nub off. I did not like the fact the hexes fell off when the wheels were removed, so I added some set screws. Pic of the fiberglassing I did on the wheels. Last but not least the flex shot. | ||

Great looking rig! What tires do you prefere? I'm currently running leopards on my super and they grip well but don't side hill well, I'm having trouble getting foams setup up to give proper support when side hilling. I've been trying to decide between making some custom rovers, another set of leopards or plowboys.

how wide are your wheels? I'm thinking about mounting some Rovers on my 40 series axial beadlocks, I believe they are 2" wide. that should give me about 7 to 7.3 inches of height if I'm not mistaken. |
