Updated to the latest software this morning. What a difference it's almost as smooth as my puller now, also narrowed the deadband so when I move the trigger so does the car! Very happy now. Just have to fix the mesh on the back and rebuild the shocks and she should be ready to go for a proper practice session. Kieren |

Any more pics of your motor plate setup? Also, If you cut a few lugs out of your tires and glue them back up you can stretch the tread out and get rid of the wrinkle effect. |

When I pull the back off today to fix the mesh I snap some pics for you If I get the desire for CA fumes I'll try that does it make the tire any smaller or larger? Cheers Kieren |

Some more pictures of the motor mounting. Now that the throttle is smooth I'll put the 11t back in. I just tried the 9ts for the heck of it but the sound they make when you start or stop quickly is horrid so they are going. Kieren |

Thank you They are very nice! how is the beadlock?? Not entirely sure what you mean it is just an ordinary beadlock except the outside ring has the hex mount not the actual rim. Anything for a price as far as I know give gerame an email I'm sure he'll tell you what you need to know Oh the inside 'hoop' is delrin only the rings are aluminum. Also gerame has some delrin 3.2 rims on his site but they are either solids or 5 spoke. Kieren Last edited by Aussie Nerd; 10-06-2010 at 10:32 PM. |

Thanks yeah I probably could I just did it like that as I test. I would really like to get something a bit more permanent made, but I don't have the start up or the friends Quote:

Perfect even my dodgy cut and shut beads fell straight in no drama at all. Exactly, the centre is delrin and the front and rear rings are aluminum. Kieren |

Got my 7980 today It's going to take a bit of squeezing to get the old boy in. The tubes will have to be machined more and the steel servo mount is going to need narrowing, but a major plus is the hitec is shorter so even more ground clearance!. Kieren |

I'm officially the reigning Australian interstate Super champ I think it's working pretty well, the shocks might want a bit more of a play round with and some weight in the front and it should go pretty good. 50* steering is awesome, not sure what I'd do without it. Kieren |

Wow I really need to do an update. I finished up the tires last night, I cut two thread sections out, but left the bead the same diameter, the bead ended up a bit of an odd shape and was a bit more difficult to mount but it was well and truly worth it the tires are hardly deformed at all now. Furthermore I got rid of my mismatched hardware and put in all SS button heads from RC Screwz quality seems not to bad, however the hex could be a bit more snug on the wrenches. I've also switched radios. I've been wanting to try futaba for a while, but I couldn't justify $500 for a radio alone, so when the 4PL was released I snapped one up quick. From my limited drive time it works well. I'm still getting used to the independent rear steering however. One thing I noticed now is no glitching from the turnigy servo, but instead my rear motor does it now instead I just can't win with the cheap servos, I'll have to order another Hitec. I really enjoy the ability to dial in exactly how much EPA you want on the hitec programmer. No more 120% only. Kieren |
