Default how to power a super?

I'm currently building a 6x6 emaxx, and cant decide on what to power it with. Since its such a oddball I got to thinking and relized what works in a super will also work for me. So what's the standard for powering a super class crawled right now?

Thanks

There are no hard and fast rules, as it depends on your transmission ratio, ESC current capacity and battery voltage. check out the electronics thread.
Personally, I like Integy motors as they are inexpensive and good quality. The number of turns will depend on the other factors above and how you prioritize torque versus speed. I assume you will need lots of torque, so you will want a higher transmission ratio and maybe higher number of turns on your motor (like 65-75).

So a pair of high turn 540's have enough power to push the massive tires you super class guys run? That's the info I needed.

Thanks!

Also, are you running 2s 3s or 4s?

Yep, a pair of 540s will do it just fine. I'm running a 2s lipo with 75T Integy motors. I changed the spur gears on the motors from 10T down to 8T to increase the torque, as well. My rig weighs around 9 lbs. I do still get clod stall with my massively wide MOAB beadlock tires, so for your rig you might want to go with 3s lipo power and increase the gear ratio on your transmission (bascially, trading speed for torque), if that's an option.

The number of cells I run is just dependent on what I need. If all I need is 2s that's great, but I will be building the truck to hold 2 2s stick packs. Same goes for the ESC. This truck is a shafty, so I could run a large single also.
