Cool Jerry's Super Bully Hustler

Hey guys,

Long over due, may take a bit to complete. Here's what I have setup so far:

I hope the sv2 are going to be acceptable for this size rig and 45t Holmes torque masters on the 65:1 Super Bullys. I have some Hitec 7954 steel gear servos coming, might put two up front, don't know. Have two CC BEC units coming as well. All I need now are wheels and tires, which will be cut n' shut pitbulls most likely. I will make the rest of the components myself.

I live on a farm right near St. Louis just across the river in Illinois, the farm is surrounded by washouts and bridges over creeks, we dump fill all the time. I don't plan on competing, and I doubt there are many supers around here anyway. I have an ax10 I fart around with, but I need to go big with all this rock in my "yard". This is about 10% of the rock available here, and why the super is the next step. My ax10 without its body is in a few pics for scale.

This is the wall of death, about 60'of steep concrete and rock fill with a creek at the bottom. Perfect super area.

Castle Creations sidewinder is a great use for super. The Holmes hobbies BRXL of course will have a more solid brake but for any use other than national level competition your sidewinders will work well.

looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have the rest of my electronics, and a quick mock up of the links so far. Upon installation, I found they are way wrong and don't provide adequate movement, oh well. More aluminum is on its way. I'm going to machine some high clearance lower links and leave the uppers 1/4" Aluminum rod. I had the shocks setup for mounting on the axle directly to the chassis, but that shock angle is WAAAAY off. They will be attached to the lower links and tune from there. I'm going to leave space for the shock mounts on the links, I don't exactly know where I want them located yet, I can get a rolling chassis, and set my geometry from there.
