So looking at the stock tires I know I wanted the skinnier.. so I debated cutting them down the center of the tread and narrow them that way, but I wanted height. The stock tires are real square where the sidewall meets the tread. and I wanted it to be more rounded when I increaded the size so i figured I needed to cut some of the tread so the tires would curve better when increasing the size

Heres a pic, the stock tread is on the right the new cut tread is on the left

Here it is on the finished tire

So time to start glueing.. First time doing this. was going great until I had a drip streak across the side wall, looks lame... but hey ya do what you can.. I'm still picking glue off my fingers..

Here they are well as of now just one, Just under 4" inside (hoping they will strech onto my rims, they wont be here till the end of the week going to wait to do the other 3 till i know fit they'll fit) and outside Just under 8".. Going to have to increase the wheel base, puting these big donuts on

Well the easiest thing to do would probably be narrowing your wheelsand trying some new taller skinnier foam in the tires.. Probablly try cutting the tread like I did to make them curve better.. worth a try

I got home from work and couldn't wait till my wheels showed up so I glued the other 3 tires up

if thoes tires come apart take the tire off lightley sand the inside and use a pice of bicikle tube to over lap your seem and bond that to your tire with rubber cement or use some mesh neting and glue it to the tire evan bridal vale will work.

There's no need to add any extra rubber like that. All it will do is add stiffness, and is unnecessary. Just go over the seams with IC2000 rubberized CA and you will be fine.

So heres the narrowed rims.. I forgot to take a pic before I cut em up.. but the width of the wheel was 2 1/4".. I took 3/4" out leaving me with a 1 1/2" wide wheel..

Here are the 3 pieces..

I figured out that if I cut the center piece I could use it as support for the joint

Here you can see my lay out line.. before I cut the wheel I made a line so I could line up the wheel halves.. important if you cut them like I did with a 1/2" hand drill stuck in a vice.. but hey it works

So I got the foam cut and the tires mounted. Not too crazy about the foam.. might need to go check local fabric stores for some foam.. so I thought I'd try it out.. I have this one obstacle I've yet to crawl up.. the d*mn couch.. until now.. click on the pic to see video.. You can see how crappy the one servo is, and with these wheels junk.. need to finish my dual servos

And look it does tricks now... Air crawling
