Where have you been? Where is the build thread for your super?

Thanks for the help with the bearing mod crash. Your rig is looking great.

I have finally decided also to go with a 4PK radio.

And JB also picked up my tires tonight to build me a nice set...

So I am putting along. I am going to hold off on getting the rear steering stuff finished. So I decided to design my body next.

In my typical manner--many many many versions to get what I want.

And I finally got what I wanted.

So next I chose to get my wheels done/narrowed to 1 1/4" since my tires will be done soon...

I remember the days when it was common to narrow our wheels for the 2.2's and also watched a video by supershafty to re freshen my brain on it.

Started by cutting the inner bead off and then the desired amount for the correct width.

The big difference (I have not searched to see if anybody else had tried this but it made sense to me) I did was I made 2 cuts per wheel. The cut for the width was only made deep enough to get thru the wheel but not into the spokes and the other thru the wheel and spokes. This lets me butt the spokes against the soon to be glued wheel. I have seen a few wheel failures and wanted to do what I could to keep that from happening.

As you can see the inner bead portion fits nicely.

Then it was time to glue.

So the wheels are done and hardening (with rotation to keep it from dripping).

The wheels turned out real nice Crash. I like that you left the spokes to use for gussets.

Got the roof and hood panels cut and threw some paint on them.

And threw it onto the chassis to see how it looked. I still need to make some lower side panels.

So on saturday JB had my tires done and ready--thanks JB!!!!

So I finally made it home today and decided to head out to the shop. With the tires on it sat a tad high. So I redid the link lengths and shock mounts and dropped it down to 4" at its lowest point.

So my other 2 Bec's came in. So I figured it was time to start getting the electrons flowing. I programed the voltage for all 4 bec's (6.5v/7.4v). I finished modding the skid plate and got the fxr's in place and some wires.

Then thru the skid plate on and tried to get more done.

Well it took some time but I finally got all the wiring done and secured. Before I got it all secured I went and programmed the FXR's. I also watched harleys videos and got the radio setup along with the FXR's set to the radio then fully secured everything.

I still have to rework the battery setup plus I need to get different packs for it.

The rear.
