Here is the tool I made for doing it. All of it is hand formed and was plain tricky to get it right on the money. All of the my prior test bends would crack the material where my final setup did nothing of the sorts and I use my press to do the job.

But here is the tool I made.

And here is my new design for my servo mounts.

I like the idea of having a single mount for both servo's. I was able to retain the original servo position (inboarded them 3/32) and fix one little issue with there location--just a minor tweek. They fit like a champ.

Before at times I would have the front bottom edge of the servo's get hung up. Hopefully this new design should fix that.

I had to slightly modify the rods from the servo horn to the knuckles (which I knew I would) since they are slightly inboarded. But the setup seems to turned out perfect.

I am waiting for my servo's to show up and I will be putting the same ones in the rear.

Thanks--I have been known to be very determined,lol..

I also have 2 of the wider super bullies and I have to design the same mount for those (building a super for a buddy with my swa-wing chassis)

I finally got the rear done so now I am matched servo's front/rear.

And something I HIGHLY suggest--a servo programmer. I know its saved me from having them fail.

I went with the same wideners on my bully and really noticed the lack of power in my servos after I added them. I understand the mechanical disadvantage of moving the tire away from the pivot point, but it really made a huge change. On mine I run a single 7980 on the rear and when the car is climbing up and if I turn the rear tires it will not straighten itself until I drive and remove some of the load. As much as I do not want to spend any more money, I am thinking either new longer tubes, or dual servos for the rear. Maybe if I hit the lotto, I will build a berg!!!

The correct term for that is the "scrub" radius. I have no problems turning and love it...

I have a guy in our club who runs a single 7980 with long tubes/short hex's and his does the same as yours.

Yup, my single 7980's do fail to turn my tires when bound up. Especially in rip rap. I have learned to drive thru it, but I have been meaning to mount both 7980's up front and buying two 7950's for the rear. Or just going 7980 all around.

Mike, Maybee you can build me a pair of your sweet servo/steering setups when you build jacks. Nice work on the super. Nice work on the podium finish, keep it up.

Super-slick build man... I wish i still had a garage to build in... Quick question - where did you get your wideners, and what size are they?

So we had our first comp of the season last month. I have been wanting to redo my super for a while now but just lacked time. So I got some new link mounts so I could get the shocks to the axles and did a quicky patch job for the comp.

It worked and was certainly more stable than the old setup but found allot of deflection in the cab totally screwed me up--doh..
