The Eagles have Landed!!!!

And, OH My, are they pretty!

Thanks Will @ RCBros for taking on this little project of mine.

These have been the "missing link" in my grand plan for my super build. I'm beyond stoked to have these tubes sitting here right now! Now my vision can commence.

With the Stripped/polished/lightened cases, the lightened gears, SDS 300 hd's & some parts from Vanquish, I should be in good shape.

Something for your eyeballs....

Also, I have it on good authority that there may be a couple more sets of these sitting at the RCBROS workshop. So, if anyone out there is interested in owning a set of these tubes for your 65:1 Super Bully Cases....drop Will a PM.

I got my C-hubs and Knuckles in from VP. I wanted to try out the new "clamping" style C-hubs. They were designed for use on scalers & have a built in "steering stop" at about 48*. My plan is to dremel them back to my desired steering angle and then I'll have a nice positive STOP to the steering. Hopefully around 60*. That, on top of the fact that the clamping design takes away any potential slop that might occur. Plus, they are just plain sexy!

Thanks Vanquish Products!

The Avenue that i thought I was going to be able to just cruise down in order to get rear shafts for this rig is not working out so well for me. So, I am going to have to improvise or run a stock super bully axle in the back as an absolute last resort. There are other options, but more require 1 Milllllllion Dollars and my budget on this rig is damn near Tapped Out!

Like, I said...I WILL figure something out. Just not gonna be as easy as I originally expected.

Hey Jimmy... I'm curious about the scale c's with the regular wraith knuckles, is there actually a good steering stop with them? I know they say the steering stop is actually part of the scale knuckle and was just wondering if your setup will be effective in limiting the steering... If so that's the solution for me as well!

Yeah Bob, they definitely stop the steering way before the universal is even close to its full turning ability. I think its around 50*. There plenty of material on the chub though to file off in order to get the desired steering angle and have that positive steering stop in either direction. Plus the added bonus of them clamping onto the tube for added strength.

Im putting these on everything!

Default Shock time!

I've been scrambling to get this rig together for the NENQ. I am going to be using the new chassis and plan to run the shocks to the axles rather than the links (always hated that).

The shocks that I have on my super now are..well...DONE, OLD, HEAVY, BIG AND STUPID. So, they're going away.

I got a hold of Will at RCBROS and started collecting parts for the new shocks for the "new" super.

The parts pile:

I picked up these little pieces of awesome from E.Y. Designs. Titanium SCX10 shock shafts. The machining on these is really nice and I'm stoked to have them on this rig. Thanks Everett!

Titanium shafts with the Axial Machined Pistons installed

From RCBROS i snagged a set of Egressor type, Delrin SCX10 shock bodies. These are quickly becoming my go to for anything SCX10 shock related. Simply awesome additions to any set of these shocks!!

Will also hooked up some of these Gems! Very nice little SCX10 spring preload adjusters for MINI-T springs.

I drilled the necessary holes in the SCX10 shock caps. One in the top for proper diaphram function and two smaller ones in the sides for bleeding out the air and excess fluid from the shocks.

The rest is just simple assembly. Add in some Jeepindoug Mini-T spring retainers and springs and called them done.
