| 65:1 bully motor pinion size and servo clearance.
I have 65:1 superbully axles and I am running single 7980's behind the axle using Svens's mounts. Anyone know how small I can go on the motor pinions before the motor hits the servo case? I have 35T Brood HHK motors and have a 15 in the front and 14 on the rear. It's geared to tall and I want to drop down as far as I can.

I run a similar setup (Brood Big Wires, but I believe the cans are the same) and can easily fit the 12T pinions in and still have plenty of clearance. That extra gear in the 65:1 box really spaces the motor away from the tubes and give plenty of clearance for that servo.

I have Holmes 40t motors and stock 12t pinions, and I had to shave about 2mm off the axle tube to fit the servo 86jeep-style. Make sure you space the servo at least 1/2" to 5/8" up from the tube, or you'll be dragging the bottom of the servo everywhere |
