OG Stick build Hi all! Thais build started because when i first got into crawlers the stick was hitting the scene and i fell in love but never had the funds. Well over the past few weeks i have been putting this together... Specs- TCS Stick chassis Clod axles with TTR Cvd's, integy tubes, VP knuckles and TTR 17mm hexes a pair of Holmes 35t pro's & 10 tooth pinions Hitecc 7980 servo (ordering another soon) Mystery shocks?? and 1/8 kyosho super soft springs the 2 Holmes BR-XL esc's are on the way and this is all controlled by a 4PL also the wheels and tires are being made by Crawler innovations now, 8" narrowed rovers on machined blast wheels should be killer! Pics http://i735.photobucket.com/albums/w...x/DSC01912.jpg http://i735.photobucket.com/albums/w...x/DSC01913.jpg Crappy body off http://i735.photobucket.com/albums/w...x/DSC01914.jpg http://i735.photobucket.com/albums/w...x/DSC01915.jpg Thanks for lookin!8) any feedback is welcome Special thanks to kevin from TCS they are the best to work with!! also eddie from Ci is a great guy to do business with |
Sweet another Super and it's an OG Build too....:) |
Awesome to see an OG build. Especially the TCS stick. The ole school boyz were really thinkin outta the box with this one."thumbsup" Now stick either some Berg or XR axles in there and it'll kick arse!!!! |
Ryan, awesome build; its super clean looking. We have those extra goodies on the way to you with your order. You should definitely try the adjustable backbone tube, it's nice to have the option to change wheelbase easily. And the aluminum upper heim bolts will shed a good amount of weight. |
Thanks for all the good comments! i am just hoping that i can wire it up all nice and clean also and thank you kevin!! you guys at the crawler store are awsome!! those heim bolts are going in there for sure ill post some pics up when they get here with the other stuff and the wiring is all buttoned up as for the adjustable backbone..i may try and use that for a diff build, super bully stick maybe 8) updates soon... |
Ouch.. lol Well tonight i finished up all the wiring and she LIVES!..... well did live because apparently tamiya did not build the stock gears to hold up to hand wound 35t motors and heavy arse wheels/tires :lmao: but it was the most fun i have ever had destroying plastic (TO ALL FELLOW CLODDERS) Build them bullet proof or dont build them at all. i see tons of threads saying "umm uhh should i use my clod axles orr uhh get something else" unless you are going all out dont build a clod super, the plastic was never meant for this abuse (minirant over :flipoff:) Pics of her RTR tomorrow 8) stay tuned... |
We just reduced the prices on all stick parts so anyone else that wants to build one of these awesome trucks can now build one for half the price! |
