As said above, I think one big issue with supers is their large tires and causing a high center of gravity. Problem is, the large tires also help so much in other areas. I have never really felt the need to run weight in the rear but I have felt the need to have a more stable and balanced car. With all that room in the rear, how can you not run weight in that area? I did approx 5oz per side. I will see how it works... |

Yeah, I can see benefits of clocking the weights in the rear both ways. I made them so that if I flip them from side to side, it will take it from rear bias to front bias. I will see if I can tell a difference. | ||

I was able to get out and drive this car some more yesterday. I am more than stoked about the way its driving. I had the perfect video that showed stability on a good sidehill (that I used to roll on all the time). I could blip the throttle and turn my wheels as much as I wanted while on the worst part of the side hill. I think I lost the video, or should say that I never took it because I turned the camera on/off too quickly between takes. :( Anyway, to say the car is planted is a bit of an understatement. I think the rear has a bit too much weight, I may try to remove 1-2oz per side but I want to drive with it the way it is for awhile, get used to it and then remove and look for drawbacks. I am torn between shaving the sidewalls and not. Its not wrapping up like it should (another thing the lost video had a great shot of) but I am getting TONS of traction with the sidewalls in random spots. I think I will give it more time, I can always shave them. I have some videos that I will post now. You can see this beast has no issues with climbing even with the added rear weight. |

This little obstacle looks pretty easy on camera, I think. I think I have only legitimately made this climb 1 or 2 times and I feel it was luck. There is a nice cross over in the middle and usually I roll over making the transition, as you can see in the beginning. I was able to make this 4 or 5 times yesterday. Almost not worth doing anymore. Black rock 1 super 11-5 - YouTube |

Simple but fun climb. I was able to make this one regularly but wanted to see if rear weights made any difference on the straight vertical climbs. If you watch, you can see where my side walls really help in this situation. Black rock 2 super 11-5 - YouTube |

This climb is a brute!!! I have tried and tried this climb for hours and never even had a shot. Its still a challenge but I made it for the first time! I even made it 3 times total. If there ever was a downside to rear weight, I would think hanging from one front tire and pulling yourself all the way up would be that situation? (insert trash talk)No way anybody will ever make this line without some Brood Forsaken motors and steering strengtheners (/trash talk). Black rock 3 super 11-5 - YouTube |

Time to turn up the voltage on this ole girl! 4S! I got some Holmes BR mini ESC's. The Micro Sidewinders did me good for a long, long time. I burned up a BEC last time I was out and thats all it took for me to replace the ESC's since I had to take it all apart anyway. Now to see if there is a weak point... I think it will still be the electronics. |

Not lacking speed but I always want more torque and smoother startup. These batteries have made it too fast so I turned the EPA's down. If this works out great, I think I will even be moving to 4s on my 2.2. I would need to find a suitable battery before I did that though. I dont even like running 1000mah on my super but couldn't find anything smaller for a good price. |
