Another penny doing a nickels job, put the venom fireball 55s in yesterday. For the money ($15) their great. If your not competing, why spend the big bucks on others. These will do the job. They have more wheel speed and a lot more brake than the stock motors.

I'll be looking for motors as well. I want to put some on the shelf. When looking for motors what should you look for?

I'll try and explain what I know. The more turns, the more torque. The less turn more speed. so you have to find you mid point on what you do with your crawler. Some of my friends use lower turns for mud running, but you loose a lot of climbing ability from the lose of torque if your running large diameter tires.

Has anyone had this happen or know what it might be? On my MT it binds normal. You turn on the tx then the rx and it binds. On my Max Stone 8 it will not bind unless you press the SW switch on the rx. AND now it seems like its loosing power no matter what batt i try. Could this be a faulty rx for the binding part and crap stock motors going out? I did buy this used. It seemed to be in good shape when i got it. |

The Holmes Hobbies BRXL is the only ESC that is worthy of a super. The Holmes Hold drag break will pull the tires off of your truck before the motor releases. IMO, the best servo for these trucks is the Hitec 7980....but it is slightly larger than a standard servo, so you'll need to make sure it will fit. As for the Rx, will you be upgrading the entire Tx/Rx system? |
