I think I'll just rotate the rears all the way back. Should be quite a bit of caster since the axle is tipped back quite a bit for pinion clearance. I should probably notch the front knuckle one more spline (than the one extra spline I already added) and get more caster up front too. Looks like it'll need more.

I know its just being too picky but I often wish the splines were able to make finer adjustments than 18* at a time. Twice the spline count would have been soo nice, but I know that is a little unreasonable to ask or expect from a major manufacturor.

At least you can easily change it during testing.

I totally agree. But perhaps the splines would be too prone to stripping at such a fine increment?

And damn, I really need to proof read my posts.

Heading your way tomorrow.

These things are wild looking. Can't wait to see a tire on them. Only 2 sets like this so consider yourself lucky.

Those aren't wheels. Those are bad ass pizza cutters. They be the perfect compliment for this build & the top secret lid I got to top it all off with

This showed up

So I was finally able to finish up the wiring not my cleanest wire job, but it's tidy enough

Initial tests show all functions working properly. I am still waiting on another HD servo horn (for the rear) & those bad ass Blasts from Carter Fab, but once those are installed, it's time for some fun. I have a lid that I've been saving for a special project, but I'm not too sure it'll clear the electronics caddy, so I'll fiddle with that while I wait

You & I alike! I'm itching to really test this thing out. It looks silly with 2.2's

Well the are en route from Texas to Hawaii, so I'm hoping Friday or Saturday.

I do have some bad news though. I was planning on running this Freq E Skin'd Hardline I had been saving for a rainy day, but it is just too arrow to fit over my electronics caddy. Relocating the electronics would result in the body not being able to be slammed I actually creased it to widen it by nearly .75" but it wasnMt enough. I figure I might as well show it since it ain't going on.

It's really a bummer because that thing was looking sick. It just ended up being too far over to one side and was irking the heck out of me.

I think I may have to shoot up an X-Citer or maybe the JP jeep I just got in the mail. The XC-1 fits but seems so big. Any ideas?

Man.............

That sucks cuz that body would of looked sweet
on your "Super Shafty"

Hmmmm........
You defiantly want to get some kind of "Slammed" body
to match up with the Lo pro chassis look you got going on

What about a "Helios" body

IDK........just suggestion

Regards Rick

Thanks for the suggestion Rick, but I already have decided on a lid and JD (HARDKNOCKZ) is gonna knock it outta the park

Wheels arrived today, so I stuck on a old lid and finally have a runner. The weather is crappy out, and UFC is on, so I'll do my best to run a bit tomorrow.

In the meantime, here are some pics 3.5" GC at rest. 5.25" at full droop. 6 lb 11oz RTR

Wow, first set of 1" wheels I've seen mounted up. There are only 2 sets though.

Wow is what I said. I was siting there just string at the wheels for a good 10-15 mins before even grabbing the tires from storage. Amazing quality Clay! Thanks again.

That said, the tire sidewall pooches a little weird but I think it's more the soft foam than anything else.

That's how we roll. Hahaha
Who says you can't reinvent the wheel. It's the cool things that no one can see that make them special.

Looks pretty good, is it weighted yet? I am curious to see if the universals can handle the added stress of large diameter wheels and tires.

Wheel and tires look good, I have been running 1" blasts for a couple years now.

I think you need to change the title again....

O.k......

I guess you got me...

They don't look to have any of the internal ribbing removed, the inner lip removed, or any attempt to lighten them...

So what's so special?

They look like the standard cut and fit together wheel from Eddie only 1" wide.

Maybe I am not seeing the "special" claim.

Clay IS the guy who is narrowing the wheels for Eddie

And I couldn't help but change title a few times. It wasn't much of a Wraith

I know he does the wheels for Eddie....just curious why they are so unique...

Just giving you shizz over the title. It looks pretty good.

Do you have spacers of some sort to extend the width?

Well, it is a pretty slick way to narrow a wheel.

I am using these slash 4x4 adapters from Proline

No wheel weight either. Front weight bias seems pretty good though.
