I don't know dude I guess you will have a gray chassis.
Just out of curiosity did you use the powder or liquid Rit dye?

Use the least amount of water as possible to keep it super concentrated and mix it up good.

McMaster sold it to me as delrin... What do they know?

I have always used the powder too. Black is a pain to get right, it can take several dips. I never boil the plastic though. I usually boil the water, pull it off the stove, add the dye then parts and let them sit until the water is cool. Black will take a few tries to get it dark.

Got some of the powder dye, it darkened it considerably more than the liquid did , not really black though , more like a deep chocolate brown.

Spacers are finally cut for the wheels. A little over 1/2 lb dropped, mockup is with an 850 hub which will probably end up a 600.

I got the machining on the cases done. I still need to go at them with a sanding drum then bead blast them to finish up.

Compliments of CREEPERBOB, stock cases weigh 106.8 grams.

Mine weigh in at 69 grams!

I'll glue a piece of thin lexan over the top where I cut the hump off, and make a lexan dust cover that screws on over the side that I cut out. There is a little more material that I can remove from inside of them, but I'm done turning hand wheels on them for now.

I have been busy with work (80ish hours a week since I got back from nats, salary, not hourly...), playing husband and father, and this: DT's 2013 UGC Stingray

We need to get the new UGC 2.2 chassis to market before we focus on Super. It is for the most part done now. At least testing is.... Super is almost back on the top of my list.

I also need some money I don't have right now to finish the super My wife was unemployed most of the year. She is working now, but we have some catch up to do, and her $1500\month 4 years of private university school loans don't help...

It needs 2 esc's (br-sl), another bec (one died), a set of cvd's, and I need to buy an entire fawking case assembly to get the one bad gear (you saw it when they were in your hands) replaced, unless you can sell me that 1 gear from you pile of axles real cheap....

Why does RC4WD not sell single gears or gear sets with out cases for the 65:1 axles.....

Then I need lathe time for those partial delrin tubes to complete them, I can use my turned alu ones for now.

Despite Juan's idea that I know time travel, I do not... Find me 50 hour day, 12 day weeks and a money tree and I'll have it done real quick

Alright man. I just took the bait. I bought some bully super axles this weekend. I am not going to have the luxury of ordering everything at once so this may take me a while. Nice build BTW.

That is assuming I can figure out how to drive with the rear stear. If not interesting, at least entertaining.

It takes 10 mins to learn, hundreds of hours to master. I am in the early middle somewhere right now. I can whip it around pretty good, however in a comp situation I always turn the wrong way or over steer it.
