Default UGC Super Viper Bully

The birth of the Super Viper!

First off the thank yous...

Tydl for creating the concept chassis, if you had not bought axles and cut that chassis I would have never bought the super from CREEPERBOB.

CREEPERBOB for a killer deal on a super, then wanting a bunch of it back in trade for some machining.

C*H*U*D and the UGC team for developing the Viper II on which this is based.

And nicodrive01 for an amazing gift of carbon fiber wheels at nats, which brought this project off the back burner.

The V1 Proto drawing: it will be able to be run bodied or bodiless. The tubes and cases need a little more work, but BOB got me off to a good start!

Thanks Dani, These wheels are awesome!

The prototype versions will be all hand cut from delrin, when the testers and I get it where we want it, Juan will draw the final revision to be cnc cut from carbon fiber.

I'm liking this! I was thinking awhile ago about PM'ing Juan about a super chassis.

I can't wait to see more

The 4 test chassis are ready for cutting. Not this coming, but the following Sunday I am going to Tydl's dads to cut them, and finish the tubes and cases.

I finished up the tubes today, they will hold me over until the bank roll allows for some Delrin tubes!

Thanks again for getting them started for me Bob

Thanks! This is my project, the production version will be drawn by Juan and cnc cut from CF. He does not have super axles though, so he told me to run with it for now and he will help when we are ready to make a production version.

Once we get the geometry where we want it, I'll send him my chassis so that he can make a cad drawing from it.

Just need to chuck up a router bit and finish the test lowers tonight, cabs should go much faster.

Doing the best I can, end mills are in the mail, so I am not using the best tooling, and I do have a job and family life too...

The lowers are ready, I'll cut the tops tomorrow or Wednesday. I'd like to get the ones being shipped out by the weekend.

Then I need to cut mine from some lexan I have coming.

Work turned into an 18 hour day so I only got 1 chassis done, but it feels good to have the 1st one down.
