| pigblankets Super Bully build
I have wanted to build a super bully for a while now. I caught a good deal on the bst for a pair of axles so I guess its fixing to start. What you see below is what I got so far. While I wait for the crawler fund to rebuild I am going to start on the shocks, wheels, and tires. Right now I only have two of the Axial wheels to work on. I know they are not the hot setup but I have enough leopards and cougars to make a full set of each. Which tires would yall suggest?. I also found out that Greased lighting and anno do not mix. Now my cases have alot of character. I need a new bearing for the end of the axle tube. I think its a 6x10x3. Does that sound right to you guys? I found it here Hardware/bearing list? Thanks for looking DAve Where the magic is going to happen. My crawler Haven. |

I got the two wheels I have chopped up. Similar to others I chucked a dremil wheel to the drill press and went to town. To keep everything lined up and add some strength I drove finishing nails every other mounting hole. Here are the two halves ready for their final press and glue. I screwed in some beadlock screws to keep everything moving in the right direction. I used my drill press to squish it all together. They feel really strong as they are right now. I think I will still fiber tape and epoxy the joint like I have seen in other threads. I,m going to clean, rebuild, and mod the shocks I've got. This week at work I'm going to try my hand and designing and modeling a chassis. |

I really wasn't digging the offset I was getting with the narrowed axial rims. So thanks to all the inspiring builds here I decided to make my own wheel faces. They really need to be a little bigger in diameter they are not holding the bead very well. I know what I need to change so maybe next weekend I will be able to get some made. I think I am going to set the wheels up for 3mm beadlock screws those little screws make me nervous. I also made my first pair of cut n shut tires. I used some old tires I had laying around for this first try. A big thanks to supershafty for the how to video. The cougars sit at 7.25". The leopards should stand a little taller. Here are some pics. |

I like the tires. Do you have any better pics of them? What is the bead diameter on them?

I took that wheel tire set up apart shortly after the picture was taken. The bead is right at 3.75". The shocks are kyosho's that Rick at supershafty built for me. How do all you super veterans solder everything together? | |

Have you thought about grinding your knuckles to get some more steering?

Its a super wedge from BWD. Reasonably priced and comes with links. Its my third BWD chassis. I was happy with my other two so it was an easy choice. http://stores.intuitwebsites.com/Bil...dge/Detail.bok Sent from my Kindle Fire |

I got my Super running a couple of weeks ago. I've had it on the rocks twice. This thing is a blast to crawl. Below was its first time on the rocks. I got a new body for fathers day and finally got around to painting it up. My son picked the color scheme. I think it turned out pretty good. I still have to get it mounted. |
