Definitely would be nice, I'll live with it to keep it cheap though.
Designed my new chassis today, hopefully cut it out today or tomorrow.

And a pic of my uncles 8.3lb fatass monster.

Got my new chassis all cut out and all my braces cut. I need to drill out the 8 other braces and make a skid, but I'm happy so far.

I am really diggin all the light your giving the exceed crawler! Everyone writes these off as cheep china junk, but you really get more than your money's worth with these! No, they are not perfect, they have a few issues, but I have yet to see a perfect crawler kit hit the market! As a matter of fact, I will be bold enough to say for the money, I don't see these any worse than starting with a stock xr10 or scorpion. The issue right now is there is no aftermarket support for them, because no one will give them the time of day!!!

Finally got this thing weighed. 6.032 lb rtr no knuckles weights though. My esc took a shit so I'm thinking I'll save up and get a brsl. I'm also going to do 7075 al uppers and aluminum rod end balls throughout. With all that I'll easily be under 6lb, even with some knuckles weights.
It needs different shocks though, I got softer springs and they're still to hard and short. Any ideas on what shocks to go with? I'm wanted 5-6 inches long and some super soft springs, I want some downtravel.
Plus some berg goodies are going into these axles soon so stay tuned for that .

Got a dual motor outcry esc to run until I save enough for a brsl or fxr. Pic of it all wired in

Also here's a good pic of my battery plate, I mounted my bec and lipo alarm on there too

Little update, I started running plastic large 2nd and 3rd gears in the rear, dropped about 30 grams between the 2. I've ran a couple 3s lipo packs through it with no issues yet.

I've also been fiddling with springs because mine were way to stiff, I ended up putting these tiny springs in there and they've been phenomenal. They have about a .5lb spring rate but my chassis doesn't weigh much so it's alright.

Also a pic of some practice, I have big rocks in my front yard lol.

Visited some of my gf family over the weekend in central Washington, sadly there was no rock, just this tree. So naturally I tried to climb it lol.

Broke an amazing barrier today, IMO, the 6lb barrier. As it sits with a 2100mah 3s lipo this bad boy is a stunning 5.898lb rtr. I still have some tricks up my sleeve to drop ounces too! I'm excited
