Chaotic Super Switch Bodiless Carbon Chassis

We had some great success with our old Super Special but wanted to take this chassis to the next level. Not only did we step up the materials by going with carbon fiber but we have added the four doubler arms and when installed triangulated as pictured this chassis is amazingly rigid and strong. The skid is our unique one piece design thus eliminating the normal bottom mounting screws and preventing hang ups. As usual all of the standoffs are drilled and tapped to make installation as simple as possible. We went with the 3/16" Aluminum Standoffs and designed the chassis to use Aluminum Rod balls for the chassis spacers. These are super light weight and great looking.
The most Unique thing about this chassis is the ability to Switch the cab. Just a few simple screws and you now have a completely different look. This should give the end user more options.

Includes:
2 - 1/16" Carbon Side plates
2 - 1/16" Carbon Side Cab Plates (reversible)
4 - 1/16" Carbon Doubler Arms
Custom 1mm thick one piece CNC machined Skid
6 - 40mm 3/16" Aluminum Standoffs - Drilled and tapped
14 Aluminum Rod ball Spacers
Hardware (Aluminum or Black Oxide)
Hardware for Upper links
Panels (.020 Poly)

Weights:
Chassis w/ Aluminum Hardware: 2.9oz or 83g
Chassis w/ Black Oxide Hardware: 3.2oz or 92g
Panels: .45oz or 14g

They will work...Your Wheel base may not be the same. If I remember right your WB on that rig was pretty short anyway wasn't it??

My current wheel base is about 18" although I probly won't use this rig for comps, just for fun I'd still love to have that new chassis

How long is this chassis stem to stern? With berg axles do the shocks mount on the axle or lower links?

That really depends on which shocks you choose to use. Dani used Big Bores and has them mounted to his DLux berg axles...

Why? What are you trying to figure out?

A 4" shock should be long enough to mount to any axle...

After setting up a super with the shocks mounted to the links and being very disappointed it was an easy decision to design this chassis to accommodate axle mounted shocks. "thumbsup""thumbsup"

It is just barely over 12" long.

It is designed to mount the shocks to the axles.

I am personally using a 3.75" shock on mine right now mounted to the axles, but am about to switch to a 4" as I had always planned. "thumbsup"
