Looks good Tuner. I am so glad a bunch of us are building supers now. It will be another fun thing at our already fun comps. Can't wait to get mine done and more idea's to tune and dial it in before our next comp. |

I have changed a few things sence utah state champs. I have 8" roverXL's with losi 17mm hexes now and I made some knuckle weights that weigh 10.7oz loaded with bolts and nuts. It climbs allot better now but with all that weight up front i might have to take some off or add some weight to the rear because the rear tires lift allot more. |

Those knuckle weights are slick. How do you secure them to the knuckle?

| I put a short 2mm between the knuckle and the washers. I got all the stuff from home depot and if you can weld its pretty easy.

I decided to try a bta steering setup and this is what I came up with. It works quite well. All I did was flip each knuckle over so that the arm is behind and low on the back side of the axle then mounted the servos backwards. |

Looks good. What is your overall width? How can I find some of that foam you were using? Is there a special name for it? I would like to get the same stuff you were using when I was checking it out at Little Moab. |

| Re: Tuner's superbully The foam is joann fabrics 15x17x2 foam. I think its a medium density but im not sure on that. You need 2 of them if you have 8" tires. nThe width is 13.5"

This rig has been working well for me and I love driving it. I ended up getting 1st at the last 801rcc comp. Thats not saying much in 801 because there are only like 4 of us with supers. There is always room for modifications though so I changed a few more things. 1/4" solid steel links different front shock setup so the shocks are mounted to the axle instead of the lower links more braces in the chassis stronger front droop springs stiffer rear springs reconditioned motors (they needed it) Thanks Murff dog Last edited by tuner; 01-08-2012 at 07:02 PM. |

A few pics from our last comp. I also added a 7980 to the rear before this comp. Last edited by tuner; 02-17-2012 at 07:36 AM. |
