Holmes br-sl are the esc's you want.

They work really good in my super.

I don't comp either. I run dual holmes hobbies brxl. I think to save weight a lot of people run br mini from holmes also. Both choices have a wicked strong drag break and my favorite feature quite mode.

Holmes are the only esc's for supers in my opinion! I had brxl's in my old super and br minis in my new berg super. Good luck with the build!! Ty

I think I am one of the few that runs a sidewinder micro. It has worked awesome for me and I have a ton of time on my car.

Having said that, I wouldnt go get a junk ESC but I actually think that motors are more important of a choice and can make an ESC look bad. One of, if not THE best mod I have done on my super was a Team Brood Cobalt motor. It gives me the torque that is needed, (which in turn keeps my ESC's cool) and I need to turn my drag brake down.

My first super I had dual tekin fxr-pros and they worked good but the drag break sucked not because of the esc though it was because of the motors I was running. I had rc4wd motors, they were cheap and not very good. I just finished building a super and I am running Holmes Hobbies TorqueMaster BR Mini with tekin 35t motors, I like this much better.

But with that said I also ran the tekin motors with the fxr-pro and that work good too, but with the price of the holmes and fxr-pro, the Holmes Hobbies TorqueMaster BR Mini are cheaper.

I use an 800mah, 3s, 40c.

Track width will vary greatly. I am guessing anywhere from 13" to 14.5"??? I try and keep mine somewhat narrow around 13.5"

Use to run Tekin FRX's but had to issues with them loosing there programing ( drag breaking & forward to reveres delay) and going up in SMOKE in hot weather.

Now run Holmes Torque Masters BR-XL's that I de-cased and wired the pair together for a smaller package.

Have Had no issues after many hours of driving plus programing is a snap with the Castle Link field programer
