I got the tires figured out, the left tire is the wheel and tire for this super build, the middle tire is the wheel and tire off of my last super and the right tire is a stock 2.2 wheel and tire.

I got my links and knuckles in today from Erik and had some time to get them all put on. I already had Dlux knuckles on here but I changed them from the delrin knuckles to the aluminum knuckles. The brass inserts for the top and bottom plate kept working themselves out, I tried red locktite but it didn't work. The plan is to use glue and put them on my B2 build. So for the peace of mind I just changed them out so I don't have to worry about it.

| Re: Chaotic Super Switch They are a combination of four tires, I first used two Panther 3.2" Komodo Dragon tires made them fit the wheel then cut off the side wall and attached the tread from almost two full Hot Bodies Sedona tires. This gave me a 9 inch tall tire sitting on a 6 1/2 inch wheel. So the side wall ends up being about 1 1/2 inches. This should give me a very small amount of tire roll over for such a tall tire. |

| Re: Chaotic Super Switch Yes, the bead/sidewall of the Komodo is very low so it helps keep the sidewall of the tire small. The rim is where I get most of the height of the tire. If I would of used proline sidewalls the tire would be HUGE. I'll take some close up pictures of the tire and get them up later on today.

I used trencher sidewalls to build my last set of super tires with Sedona tread. But for these tires I needed a small sidewall to keep the tire short. I went with the huge wheel so I could keep a big tire but with very little sidewall to reduce roll over when side hilling

All the tires are done now, I made some foams out of regular density foam but I don't like them they are to hard. The Jo-Ann Fabrics around me only had regular and high density foam. I am trying to track down some low density foam or someone that is able to make custom tire foams. So if anyone knows a place where I can buy the foam or someone that can make foams let me know. The goal for this truck to be 5lbs with no added weight is not going to happen as it sits in the pictures it weighs 5lbs 7oz. Which is fine with me weight isn't everything the way it preforms is more important than the weight. There are things and parts that I could of done differently to make it lighter through out but the build, like the wheels for one. A "normal" super glue on super wheel made from G10 or Carbon is probably about half the weight of mine, but the my wheels are just bada$$, at least to me so I am fine with the extra weight. |

I got the electronics all wire up and running today. But I noticed that I have a wobble in the front axle, you can see if moving pretty bad when running. Idk what this could be from. Does anyone have a thought on where to start to fix this problem???????? |

Looks great! Do you have an overhead shot to see how that big of a tire affects the clearance issues of the axle/links etc,.? For the wobble, maybe the resolution of the servo is too low? |

I will get some over head pictures tonight, and get them up in the next day or so. The wobble isn't from the servo. The wobble comes from when the motor is running it kind of seems like something is bent. I'm kind of thinking I might have the gear mess set to tight. But I haven't had time to check it out. |

What's the wobble look like? I have a bent cvd shaft, didnt know it was bent into switching to Delrin tubes. The tube oscillated. Ten I cHeck the shaft and it was slightly bent. |

The gear case goes up and down, kind of like a crankshaft in a car or truck. The different lips that the pistons connect too. If that helps describe it. It is kind of hard to describe it on text. I don't think it's a bent axle shaft cause they are new never ran. But I could be wrong. I am kind of thinking a bearing is not seated right or the gear mesh is too tight and is pushing on the gears to much. Causing them to be out of place slightly since the gear case is delrin and carbon. |
