I have a set, they are smooth but did not like their lack of easy adjustability. I got some Gmade for the Class 2 to run at Motorama and I was very impressed with the smoothness and adjustability for tuning. I'll give them a go and see how they do.

Which Gmade shocks are you referring to?

These are the ones I am going to try. I have the 93mm ones on my SCX10 and they worked very well. I was also thinking about the piggyback shocks also.

I doesn't look like you're running any caster on either axle.

Is that because of the 4ws?

Figured maybe the rear would be zero, but the front would run a little, for "normal" driving.

Don't know squat about Supers, just curious about the theory behind the setup.

I have them both as stock for right now. I have not seen a need for it, however I have not had a lot of time on it yet because of all the great weather in the northeast lol.

Gotcha.

I should be building an RC snowblower, instead of a rock crawler.

I'll stay tuned in and see what happens. Thanks.

Ok it has been a while, been gathering parts and getting ready for the Northeast National Championship at Rausch Creek ORP in Pa. So here she is.

Thanks to Purptr8tr for building the tires and Matt From OTTSIX for his support.

The tires are Blues, since this rig is not a lightweight this should be a good choice. Also thanks to CI for stepping up and re-releasing the Super foams.

Also Huge thanks to Locked Up RC for making these sweet SLW style super narrow hubs that completed the puzzle.

Similar they are from CDF who is in the process of moving and getting set back up. They have been on my parts wall waiting for the right moment to use them.

OK, I picked up a DX6i at the NENC. Nice set up with the centering mod done. I have been looking at the stick setup info and I still can't wrap my head around it. Any other DX6i drivers your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, John

Drove it last night for about an hour. I think I had dreams about driving it too.

Here is a pic from the Northeast National Championship at Rausch Creek ORP.
It was the first time running it in a comp. I had a great time and the truck was a blast to drive.

I got out this morning for some practice with the DX6i. It is awesome! The MT-4 was OK with the super but this is a whole new level of control. The only thing I did notice is that with the MT-4 I had the throttle dialed up to 150% and the DX6i only goes up to 125% so I am losing a bit of wheel speed. I'll have to play around with pinions to see if I can find a good middle ground.

The DX6i brings a smile to my face when the super does exactly what I want it to do. Still getting use to driving towards myself.
