Mine should be here today

How the links look and feel so far?
Thanks guys

The links should work quite well and those wheels in orange would look, well super!

Why can't my projects never go as I plan... I will not lathe any new tubes after all... One conversation that took an unexpected turn and some fast shipping from Switzerland totally screwed everything up...

Oh well... I guess it would be bad to complain...

....

looks just like youre 2.2pro skinz,,,,
same theme,,, 3 KRONOR!!!!
He he he... So Swedish that it is no doubt where you are from,,,,
And only a team brood and dlux logo,,,
do you know what kinda motors that would be great for my superlites axels from dlux with youre sudu chassis???
Eddie told me to make my own conflux with a .020 thick can and a HHK-ST armature with quad magnets,, 30T, Maby I want some more wheelspeed,,,like 27T or maby even 25
or buy the nexus,, that is what he said was the replacement for his stubby motor,,,

Yes, when I get some 7075 centers and at some point 7075 knuckles for it they will look very much the same, just difference size. I have the same theme on my sporty body and MT4 transmitter too

Why do you ask which motors you should run for your 2.2 moa in a Super thread? Sorry, but I am not a big fan of out of topic discussions in my build threads.

For this super I will run my 30T HHK-ST Conflux motors with cobalt magnets. I will use a 11T poinions to try to reduce the speed a bit.

You would be foolish to run anything but Cobalt magnets in a super, IMHO.

Pretty sure you own more Dlux knuckles than I do now...

I am a bit worried that my motors are a bit too fast. I tried the 11T pinion tonight but it couldn't mesh properly so I have to use a 12T pinion instead. In worst case I just have to change the armature.

Haha, I got quite a lot of rigs and they all need knuckles

The final major part for my super arrived today

Then I got time to test assemble the front axle. It still need some more work but I like what I see

how much of the original axles are you using?

Thanks

I didn't order the axles from Dlux, but bought the axles unused and unassembled from another person. Tbh I really do not know which gears there are, but I guess it is the standard 24T/48T combo? I can try to count the teeth number next time I go down to the hobby room.

The only upgrades I will do to the new axles before I use them is to swtich out the delrin centers to 7075 centers and replace the aluminum hubs with some stainless 0-offset hubs.

Right now I do not use any of the parts from the old super axles. I have been thinking of, someday in the future, to use the sds small gears with RCBros LW big gears for this rig instead of the rc4wd gears that are in the cases atm.

If someone is interested I can sell my old axles minus the knuckles/chubs and with new unused rc4wd gears.

I havent removed anything from the servos. The brass gear is mounted where you normally mount your servo horn. The extra gears makes the servo twice as strong but also twice as slow.

Here is what I am going to send you, that I also use so I dont have to stress out every time I read this thread.

Stack one more CF plate and another delrin spacer and both links will be double shear. Love this build!! It has inspired me to build. Thank you.

Thanks and nice to see more Super builds

Erik, have you ever thought of trying out that steering geometry you use on your 2.2 Berg but on the Super?

I have been really slacking on updating this thread... But now after the first comp with the super I need to write something I guess

It was fun to drive it although it ended up with a last place for me at EuroCrawl. David511 double started with me and ended up at third place, so it cannot be all bad

Congrats David!

Nothing much is new on it, but I made some weight holders that I received just before going to EuroCrawl. At the comp site I noticed that the rear holders were grinding on the wheel hubs so I took them off. I still use the aluminum hubs in the rear which has a bigger outer diameter than the stainless ones... doh!

Front holder with maximum weights

I forgot to take pictures during the competition but The Lizard managed to take a few photos of the super.

david511 going for the podium!
