Default Outrunner motor on Super Bully axle

curiosity has me going, any chance of fitting a Holmes out runner motor on a super bully axle? Anyone tried?

Trying to think of why it wouldn't work before making the plunge, just can't see why it wouldn't in my head. Then again, I'm not a smart guy when it comes to these MOA setups.

brushless motors tend to be a bit jumpy (coggy) at lower rpms.
also a question about braking. brushless motors do not hold on inclines very well.

you can put any motor that fits into whatever you want but not all motors will be suitable
if you have specific goals to meet. slow speed control is what most crawler people want
and that is why most crawlers have brushed motors.

You just have to make sure that you pick one that fits. I'm running 775 sized motors on my super bully axles, and that is about the limit.

I've never run one on a Bully axle, but LOVE my HH outrunner. Smooth all around, massive torque, and incredible drag brake. Cabron above is referring to an inrunner set-up, outrunners are an entirely different ball game.

I figured thats where he was getting confused on that.

I have only heard good things about the HH outrunners, may have to give some a try myself.

Thanks for the opinions

I'm assuming the only option is 2 ESC's for that setup? Any suggestions on which ones?

The Revolver has as good slow speed control as our best competitive brushed options, and also has far better drag brake. I run mine on 30%! For everything else brushless, yes a brushed motor does have control advantages.

There is no reason you couldn't use them on a bully, two MMPs would be my choice to power them.
