| How to size a new build?
Hi everyone, Noob to the max here.. So don't shoot! lol Decided after seeing how much fun this looks like on some youtube vids, that I want to build one myself. I've been reading and reading and more reading over the past week or so and need a little help. 1.) I want to build (or buy a partially built) crawler. I think the superclass is what I want to go after. Not sure what defines the superclass, but I'm either after an Axial XR10 chassis or a berg. 2.) Called all of the local shops here, about a half dozen or so and apparently the XR10 is discontinued and nobody can get berg parts. 3.) How do you know what size wheelbase, axle length, tire size etc. to go with if you are building from scratch? 3.) Any ideas what kind of chassis I should start with? I want something medium to high end. Looking to spend anywhere upwards $1000-$2000 for the right setup. Sorry if these questions have been asked a million times. I'm learning |
