Should I go with dual esc or single setup?

Hi,

I Recently bought madtorque 8 and am looking to replace the motors and esc.
I'm debating whether to go with dual esc setup (hobbywing 1060) or stay with a single esc setup and replace the esc for hobbywing 860.
I'm going to use a 4ch system with mixing (radiolonk RC3S) so I could control each esc separately.

So which is best, single or dual setup?
And for motors should I go with 35T or 45T (I think that the stoke is 60T)?

Dual esc.
One major feature to moa is control for each axle independently. Best way to accomplish this is 2 escs and a 4ch radio

Ummmmm..... sooo many.
Stability, climbing capabilities, down hill control thats a basic start..... really basic.

Ok cool, so I guess I will go for dual setup.
Any opinion on Hobbywing 1060 esc, is it good enough (keep in mind that it's a budget rig )
What about power consumption, is it going to be more power hungry than a single setup?

I have no experience with that esc. It will get you started, but im unsure about how effective the drag break will be (important part of rc crawlers)

you get what you pay for
what is important is will the escs take the lipos you want to use (3s, 4s), do they have lipo cutoff?
you will probably want to use a bec to get the higher voltages for the higher torque on the servos.
it is the motors that use the power not the escs, you get the crawler in a bit of a bind and try to power out
you will max out the power consumption and imo 60 amps is a bit on the low side. they will get you around most things
just be careful. your options are slim for economy brushed escs. holmes hobby tekin castle start at 100 and go up

I'm Currently running on 2S and am planning of using 3S with the new setup.
Is there any reason to use 4S for such a light crawlers?
Hobbywing 1060 should be fine with 3S and have a lipo cutoff.
It looks like it has a decent drag break but am not shure..
Anyway I guess that it will be a huge improvement from the stock system.. ��

Regarding BEC I already have one 6v 5amps, hope it will be enough.

Generally speaking I think that the quality of Hobbywing is not so bad, I use the xerun 150A sensored system for my Summit and am very happy with it.
Anyway for the price (22$ shipped) I think that the Hobbywing 1060 is a very good deal.
