Default Transmission options for shafty super...

Well, I`m currently working on a low buck build. Full EMaxx drive train (hybrid axles and trans), Red Cat Ground pounder chassis (possibly modifying for better ground clearance and lower COG). Now what im having trouble is the transmission. The EMaxx trans is bulky and heavy so id like to see what my options are when it comes to transmissions. Possibly something a little bit more compact, budget mined and reliable. If I have to stick with the EMaxx trans, than I can do that if my options are pretty limited. I wont be using anything too much more than a simple brushed 55t motor. Anyone that has any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I would use a ax10 with or without a slipper and just upgrade the output shafts. as long as the inside of the trans is lubed well the idler gear shouldn't strip. but if you plan on putting more power to it id use a slipper and metal idler gear

Oh ok! I was actually thinking about using an axial trans, just wasn't sure if it would be up for the task. Now with upgraded output shafts, does the size change with the upgraded output shafts? I was looking at the output shafts on my emaxx diffs and they look pretty big. Im not even sure what the stock output shaft size is for the emaxx diffs. I`ll have to research that also.
