| "Myopic" A Super Agent XR-10 Build by Crawler Innovations
Crawler Innovations acquired this rig in pieces back in 2014 from Almighty Malachi (Casey C.). The super had been disassembled for parts for other builds Casey had. The axles were still semi assembled but with plastic axle tops. Casey had originally built it to be an extremely light weight super. As stated, that was 2014, two years ago. Fast forward to 2016 and I had finally collected all the parts to put it together. I'm not concerned about light weight, I need durability. Especially since I'm building this for my son Gavin. It needs to be strong, CI strong. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

One of the first parts I required for this build was two Vanquish Products Aluminum XR-10 tops. It took a while to find them, even with CI's contacts and RCC. I had to purchase them both in sets, meaning the rear axle top came with the front, and since they were hard to find and in great condition, they came at a premium. Obviously complete electronics had to be acquired as well. I also knew the upper links Casey had used weren't going to work for the new build up. I contacted Purpmart for new custom length Titanium links. He was able to finally supply the links within a 6 month time frame LOL. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

I stopped doing build threads, or build up threads - might be a more accurate term. Instead I'm finding it better to complete the crawler first, and then post the work to the forum backwards from there. Too often a project gets sold or parted out and the build thread is never finished. I was always pretty confident this build would get finished, I just didn't know when. Gavin has really been stepping up and making the hobby his own over the last few months. Between his new interest in the hobby and his offers to help, this project was accomplished quickly once all the parts were obtained. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

More pictures: Looking through front wheel at front axle, above photo. Looking through rear wheel. Underside of front axle servo. Underside of rear axle servo mount. It's simply an engraved CI 1:10 servo guard that has been flipped upside down to be used as a mount instead. The opening for the servo had to be enlarged for the larger servo. A few more pictures; Front axle. The front axle servo mount was made by Casey C. He intended for the servo to mount facing opposite of how it. I modified his mount for clearance of the linkage. By running the servo facing forward a longer drag link can be used. Regardless of how long it took, I'm glad it's completed and running. Some custom skinz by Freqeskinz are coming for it. I'm excited to get video footage of this Super. I will post here once we do. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

Glad to see it all back together. The rear steer will work better if you rotate the top of the C's about 10 degrees towards the front of the car. Helps while trying to grab ledges and when you need to push the back of the car around with the rear steer cranked and rear burn. |

2. Thank you for the info, Gavin will try it out. I built this super for him and I'm rebuilding Rowdy's for myself. Thank you Erik. Thank YOU for all the MOA axle parts you are making and offering up for the hobby. Comp crawling will once again return with dedicated vendors consistently making it easier to obtain parts. Nice work E

The orange MT chassis is sitting in a box along with some mad force axles waiting for their turn. It's a ways down on the list but it will happen sometime soon.

| Re: "Myopic" A Super Agent XR-10 Build by Crawler Innovations I built some traxxas 3.5 Big Bores with RPM pistons and modified cap. I mounted them to the rear axle and frame instead of the lower titanium link. Myopic is still running today, but I have had issues with the upper link mounts getting loose with just one battery pack so I don't drive unless I want to take the axles apart to tighten the bolts every run. |

I like how those axles were built instead of using the delrin tubes option we used to have. may I suggest modifying an axle c or 3d printing caps for where the c hubs used to bolt to on the axle? might be able to be a cheap insurance policy incase those tubes ever decide to twist in the housing. could also make it the full length out to the c hubs if 3d printed.

I suppose Gavin should be answering these posts, it's his super and updates that you are replying to. But I want to acknowledge these before posting an update. Thank you. What do you mean by too high? Quote:

| Re: "Myopic" A Super Agent XR-10 Build by Crawler Innovations I (Edmundo Ayala) built this super class rc rock crawler I named "Myopic" for my son Gavin. The chassis is a carbon fiber Y Town Chassis and 115mm rims, Vanquish Products aluminum XR10 tops, transmissions, link mounts, titanium links, steering knuckles and c's. These axles are made wide by using custom tubes and Wraith AR60 long side shafts on both sides. I made the tires by hand using 2.2 Hot Bodies Sedona tires and 3.8" sidewalls. The foams are Crawler Innovations Super Nova 7.75" Comp Cut inners with Soft Outers, : P/N; CWR-4004 The full build thread is linked here; "Myopic" A Super Agent XR-10 Build by Crawler Innovations Filmed at Tyler state park: https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/tyler Video Credits; Driver: Gavin Ayala Filmer: Edmundo Ayala Editor: Gavin Ayala Gavin's channel; Ayala Metal Works; https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7oNfuw6pw84G931mmCGgaA Crawler Innovations web store; RC Crawler Foams, Rock Crawler Foams, Tires and More by Crawler Innovations The source for RCCrawling info; http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/ #crawlerinnovations #activatedoutlaw #ayalametalworks |

LOL. I guess it could be said I have a soft spot for XR supers. The ground clearance is absolutely ridiculous. I still have the "meat sword" XR Super for myself. There isn't a lot of challenging terrain for them, so they spend A LOT of time on there wall stand.
