| Looking for new axles..
So after heavily modifying my Madtorque for the past two years I'm looking for some new axle. I had a tons of fun with my super Madtorque but I came across with two major issues, first is the stock wheels and tires which is relatively an easy fix, the second and more critical is the weak gears that keep breaking.. I've tried berg gears with no luck and having trouble finding stock gears nowadays. Therefore I decided to move forward and replacing the stock axle. My opinions are: 1. Using the berg v1 gearbox with the Madtorque tubes and shafts (am not completely sure that they will fit but it looks like they will). 2. Super bully axles set (200$ for pair). The super bully looks really nice but they are a bit heavy. Is there any known issues with those axles? Will appreciate your opinions and if there any other option at the same price range please let me know. Thanks, Alon https://youtu.be/bsXVolnqg6I |

The bully's are ok but heavy and have been discontinued and parts are getting harder to find Look at Dlux Fab Berg based Super axles they are not to $$ and Erik has done a lot to keep super alive and has lots of spare parts available Dlux Fab |

Thanks, They definitely looks superb but are way out of the price range. You can't really compare a 200$ set to 650$ one.. This rig is just for fun, we don't have any competitions in Israel, so this is an overkill for my needs. Question is, is there a known problem with the super bully v1? As far as I know they suppose to be bulletproof, am I wrong? Regarding parts support, good point, but is there any other "comp" (1/ axle that is still going on having good part support and in the same price range? |

The v1 super bully axles have weak gears with big tyres. I ended up buying the 65:1 gearboxes as replacement, that would have been 4 years ago. Gearboxes are still going strong. With the cvds you only get about 45degrees, don't over travel them trying to get more steering. They dont last very long at all. |

Should I invest in the super bully light weight with 65:1 gearbox (300$ instead of 200$ for the regular axles)? As I said I won't compete so I don't care much for weight but I sure had enough of breaking gears.. What motors do you use with such low gear ratio? | |

Personally I would get the 65:1 light weight ones. I only had a few months on my stock super bergs when I exploded the gears. So I brought the 65:1 gearboxes. I've been driving the hell out of them for years issue free. So I wouldn't hesitate buying then again. I use 45t motors. It's a big rig, so I don't really need heaps of wheel speed. |

Thanks! I guess that you meant for the stock super bully axles and not berg? |

I've been bashing on my lightweight 65:1 gearboxes and the standard tubes for a few years. I've only broken one xvd, so I've got 3 left from the set of spares I bought with the axles. I'll be sad when I run out of those. When the ball end explodes it is a sad. I wonder if RC4wd has the parts since they seem to still have stock of the axles.
