Default Stubs Dlux super

After I borrowed Erik's super at BotW and got 3rd I figured I better build one for myself.

I'll be building it pretty much with all Dlux parts.

Dlux
-super Superlites
-SAF low ratio gears (the only way to have a super)
-AL knuckles
-wheels
-servo strengthener

I think a starter kit is an understatement.. What's next? Putting wheels on real spiders and training them to crawl through gates? Besides humor I am looking forward for the build also!

Well, I'm missing some small parts. You know, the things that hold parts together and rhyme with ew'es?

Well, he just sent me some of the parts to get started. Not the whole order and he was in a hurry before he left for NEMS. I was forewarned things would be missing but the rest would be sent when he got back. Haha

Ya. Sorry, got a little side tracked. I found out my girl is pregnant, so we've been pretty excited about that! Started working on the super again the other day. I'll post pics soon.

Some progress? Buttoned up the axles, made the tires and mounted them on the HUGE wheels! I am getting excited to drive this thing!

I’ve been driving this thing for a while now but it’s been hard to update the thread since Dlux wouldn’t let me post pics of the chassis. It has been working great.

Nice to see a REAL SUPER POSTING not some over sized non comp crawler piece -O crap

Like-in what Erick has done to reinforce the chassis .

Is it all G-10 or a combo of G-10 and CF . How about a few close-ups of the top, side ,bottom of this chassis. If he won't throw a hiss fit just kidding Mr. Dye

I'll get some better pics. This is just a proto chassis, so the final version will not look like this. My chassis is all G10 but i would imagine they could be cut in any comb you are willing to pay for? I think it would look cool to have the blue G10 parts and the black parts be carbon?

I feel like its working great. There are two of these chassis right now, i have one and Erik has the other. We both drove them the other weekend at Nationals, Erik did good with his and got 3rd. I had a terrible day and only placed 9th. My 9th was no fault of the chassis, i was just picking really bad lines.

The idea with this chassis is we wanted something stiff. It has a good amount of overlapping layers which is cool because it can be made out of different materials and colors. It is also very stiff with minimum cross braces.

Man I love this rig. It is setup so well it’s not cumbersome like other super I’ve used. I feel like I’m driving a big 2.2p.
