Stubs Dlux super After I borrowed Erik's super at BotW and got 3rd I figured I better build one for myself. I'll be building it pretty much with all Dlux parts. Dlux -super Superlites -SAF low ratio gears (the only way to have a super) -AL knuckles -wheels -servo strengthener |

Re: Stubs Dlux super What a beautiful pile of parts! I would love to build a super one day. |
Re: Stubs Dlux super nice man looking good "thumbsup",8) |
Re: Stubs Dlux super Enjoy your build... Looking forward to watching you build your super rig. |
Re: Stubs Dlux super I think a starter kit is an understatement.. What's next? Putting wheels on real spiders and training them to crawl through gates? Besides humor I am looking forward for the build also! |
Re: Stubs Dlux super Its not driving yet? |

Re: Stubs Dlux super He forgot all the hardware? Shame |
Re: Stubs Dlux super Well, he just sent me some of the parts to get started. Not the whole order and he was in a hurry before he left for NEMS. I was forewarned things would be missing but the rest would be sent when he got back. Haha |
Re: Stubs Dlux super Well, did you get any hardware? Any updates? |
Re: Stubs Dlux super Ya. Sorry, got a little side tracked. I found out my girl is pregnant, so we've been pretty excited about that! Started working on the super again the other day. I'll post pics soon. |
Re: Stubs Dlux super CONGRATS on your new baby. "thumbsup" You're a lucky man enjoy your kids. Both my kids are either moved or moving out this Sept... Kinda sucks for my wife and I. If you don't have time to build the super mail it to me:mrgreen: |
Re: Stubs Dlux super Some progress? Buttoned up the axles, made the tires and mounted them on the HUGE wheels! I am getting excited to drive this thing! http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps89faafo2.jpg |
Re: Stubs Dlux super I’ve been driving this thing for a while now but it’s been hard to update the thread since Dlux wouldn’t let me post pics of the chassis. It has been working great. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...pszypt9ztk.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...pspkmdaxqv.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...psqmrztm0t.jpg |
Re: Stubs Dlux super Nice to see a REAL SUPER POSTING not some over sized non comp crawler piece -O crap:evil: Like-in what Erick has done to reinforce the chassis . Is it all G-10 or a combo of G-10 and CF . How about a few close-ups of the top, side ,bottom of this chassis. If he won't throw a hiss fit :ror::mrgreen: just kidding Mr. Dye;-) |
Re: Stubs Dlux super I'll get some better pics. This is just a proto chassis, so the final version will not look like this. My chassis is all G10 but i would imagine they could be cut in any comb you are willing to pay for? I think it would look cool to have the blue G10 parts and the black parts be carbon? |
Re: Stubs Dlux super Awesome looking Super Stubs!!!!!! Look forward to some feedback on how it's working for you! |

The idea with this chassis is we wanted something stiff. It has a good amount of overlapping layers which is cool because it can be made out of different materials and colors. It is also very stiff with minimum cross braces. |
Re: Stubs Dlux super Man I love this rig. It is setup so well it’s not cumbersome like other super I’ve used. I feel like I’m driving a big 2.2p. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...pszlc6jkkq.jpg |
