Thanks Holmes.

A short video on the front axle slop. Hardly any. I hope it stays this way.

Got some work done. All holes for axle tubs are drilled and tapped. I screwed up one tube and clocked it 90 degrees to fix it.

Also.. I have 2 of these txt shafts that oscilate... Might use on on a new skid. Even though im halfway done with the current shaft. I just need to cut off a bit. Ill wait and see till my links are set up.

I opted for set screws in the chub mounts (not for the chubs) and the link mounts. These will work very well! I can red loctite them in the tube and plastic.

Onto some pics.

.

I would also like to add..

Im enjoying this build a whole lot. Ive actually thought about building what we could call a "super shafty" basically a sportsman rig with super class measurements and a full body. Im deffinatly going to try that out. Maybe with this chassis or a V1 unstuck. Im not sure yet. Ill wait till my sideplates get here.

Another note.. I have yet to design the rear cantilever setup. I need to do some extensive math with spring rates and some geometry on paper. This will help me to decide on either running a body or a chassis topper.

Axles are 11.75 inches from hex pin to hex pin.

Ill be designing the cantilever setup for the rear and ill also be doing some chassis braces/ front shock mounts.

Rig will run a body. For only one reason. The overall body height i can drop lower onto the frame. Body might drag on some rocks, but the cab height will be different in relation to a bodiless supers height top to botom of skid. My body will be lower than the skid at the bottom. Plus the body might be lighter (and less expensive) than some cf plates and hardware.

I got my knuckles and wheels yesterday.

Cant install my knuckles untill my shims show up. But i did end up designing a set of weight hangers.. Might have to redesign to compensate for the shims now.

1 wheel down, 3 to go.

Also, i happened to be able to pick up a G10 unstuck V1 from Robbob and a few other things along with it.

The new skid is on its way for the unstuck along with the shockmounts/ chassis braces.

I had cut a 1.5mm sideplate set out of aluminum for the ability to run a cantilever setup in the rear, but i ditched it. The g10 sideplates weigh less than the aluminum. So thats what im going with.

I dont know why my pictures are sideways or upside down.. They are not in my phone that way. But.. Whatever lol. You get the point.

For some reason I received my Ti rod for making my links today, I wasn't expecting them to come from china, nor this early. I was supposed to get the materials mid March.

With that being said, I can start on my links tomorrow! My missing spacers for my knuckles are on their way as well. So hopefully I can have this rig sitting on some rubber mid march when I get my skid and other supporting shapeways parts for this build.

will you be using the stock 25:1 worms?
or have a custom set made?

i have some rock force axles i always wanted to widen and use as super axles since their stock ratio is 50:1

I have just confirmed my knuckle weight hangers, new skid, and upper shock mounts will show up tomorrow! Cant "weight", even getting my redesigned moa mount is getting me excited.

I am considering sending out my 4 long side ar60 shafts to CODYBOY for his tang mod. That's if I can safely turn down the stainless ends to around 5.9mm or so without the tang getting ruined.

Front weights and hangers 1 lb 1.1 oz total. Souper saucy eh?

New moa/ servo mount.

Chassis stiffeners/ body mount/ shock mounts. 2 extra holes in the front, some extra for the rear.

New skid/ motor mount. Rear weight hangers.

All the weights are press fit.

Well.. Got to re-order the chassis braces.

Apparently my eyes and or calipers were wrong about the shock mount hole spacing.. Im not even going to try and remove the brass inserts I glued in. I should just re order them.

Ill get the actual measurement from Robbob. Another week and a half down on the chassis. Will I ever finish this damn thing? Lol

This is my second time that something like this happened. Skid is perfect. Bolts right up. Braces are on the same file and are screwed up. I must have been tired.

I am curious to see if you add weights to the rear. To off set the weight of the motor in the chassis instead of at the axle.
