More pictures. Rear shaft does not telescope as rear suspension cycles. Could be my uppers are to long or my worm angle is to high. Im not going to change the length of the rear upper links just yet. Waiting on my chassis braces/ shock mounts to come tomorrow. Titanium shaft Sent from my LGMP260 using Tapatalk Last edited by CM9000; 04-25-2019 at 11:44 AM. |

That looks awesome! So the shaft was supposed to slide only on that shaft on the skid? If so the angle on the axle pinion does look a bit to sharp... But why not a more conventional shaft? Just want to see this thing on the rocks!!! |

I know you probably did moa on the front axle for weight bias, but did you consider moa on the rear axle to avoid torque twist? Even with the 25:1 reduction you'll still get some torque twist with the bigger tires and heavier car.

I agree with you. It might change if I have issues. I don't know how to respond to that, other than laugh and think "have you looked at the rest of the rig?" I'm excited to get it on some rocks for sure. Quote:
I have future plans to build/ maybe start a class for "super shafty" locally.

But the concept and weigh on the front idea looks great, at least on paper. For the shaft I would look in to something else... Being a worm most of the reduction is on the axle so I think an SDI shaft would work just fine for you. Simple and light.

The shocks are mounted, body is mounted but not fully trimmed, braces are on the chassis, and speed controls are on their way. Next order of business is to shorten the upper links, finalize the driveshaft, smash the electronics, put the link sliders on, get 2 futaba A700's and hit the rocks! Picture of the roller will be posted later tonight or tomorrow morning. Cant believe how stable this thing feels...

About those A700's... they've only recently caught my attention, but at $160, they seem worth a shot, that is, if those ones are even legit? Have you run them on anything before? I'd like to know how they compare to the 2290 if you've got experience with both.

I know the A700's have over 1000oz per in of torque at 7.4 volts. I have not run them. But I will be. For that much torque, I probably wont run any other servo on any of my rigs.

Coming from Taiwan, I can believe that price. I will still be ordering mine through the lhs though. I am on a time crunch here lol.

That looks sweet. Nice build. I am very curious to see how it performs for you. What is the RTR weight?

I weighed it with both motors, unmatched servos, microx esc's, and a 1050 3s from tattu.. Just under 8lbs. I might be running to much knuckle weight in the front. All 4 wheels together weigh in at 2 lbs 1.2 oz. Upper and lower links 3 oz. Sent from my LGMP260 using Tapatalk |

That rear u joint angle is scary. Any way to roll it down a little flatter?

I think this is going to work well. I had programmed and calibrated both speed controls before decasing them. This MT4 is really nice! Anyways.. Just a weight check before i start shaving away at fins and cut some posts down. They might be ready to put in tomorrow, we shall see. . |

With the inclusion of 8 zipties and some foam spacers, this is the new weight of the speed controls setup. Pretty neat post reduction. If these esc's work well for the super, it might be all i ever use on losi's again. I could actually run 6s lol. Sent from my LGMP260 using Tapatalk |

Thank you sir. A few pictures of it with the bottons installed and on the rocks. This is by the hobby shop. I took the truck in to see what my battery options were. I ended up picking out a 450mah 4s tattu battery. Only 3 of them left in the whole chain of stores, so im taking all 3 lol. A 450mah 4s should get me through one course if i dont screw up too much.
