Its alright bud. I know who is all watching.

1BJB removed the like button. He is no longer a MOD, he is now an ADMIN.

On the weights, I have found my missing ring. so now all the spots are filled.

I am re working the chassis braces as I type this. I re measured the spacing center to center of the shock mount holes. Came out to 5.08mm. Guess I just needed to clean my glasses again.

Wheels and tires... Ordered my foams 2 days ago. Thanks to Eddie at the C.I. compound I will be able to get this thing rolling on some custom tires I will be gluing up here soon. I received a sweet package today from Erik D. not the norm though.. I bought 32 sidewalls from him. 16 in 1.9 flavor, and 16 in 2.2 flavor. needed both sizes for 2 different sets. I need to fill the void on some 1/8 buggy tires and a oddball set of sct tires.

With the activity from my business now, I might be moving a little slower on this build. But I still have high hopes of taking this rig to NENC.

An old motocross style 1/8 buggy tire set, some sidewalls, and some extra pins I may glue in..

This will be enough for 2 tires. The other two will still be a secret for now.



These pins are from an old panther truggy tire. I still have enough tire left from the set of 4 for some 2.2 tires as well.

Thanks! Its getting close to roller status.

Front wheel, tire, foam, and hub with all hardware weighs in at 8.5 oz. Not to bad. I can shave some more weight off by tuning the tires more but we will see if its needed.

Excellent build! Great idea for a sportsman super class. I've always felt twin force axles would be great for a class like that.

An oddball nobody should use type of setup. Trx4 canyon trails for the front, and 1.9 jconcepts scorpions for the rear. Rear tires are nut cut up and glued yet.. Getting on that today.

I wanted to give you guys an update..

But this is all I got. I need to print yet AGAIN the shock mounts/ chassis braces. Im going to remeasure the carbon chassis I have and then get some new prints.

I feel like shapeways been screwin me lol. I measured a bearing pocket i had set at 15.05mm. Measured the actual printed part.. 14.75 mm. Like wtf?

Weight pictures from top to bottom: front axle, rear axle, chassis with links. Both axles have the knuckle weights on them.

I have had good results with the canyon tires. Best ready to runs I have used. You have put a lot of work and thought in to this build. Really impressed.

Thanks bud. These tires were a pita to cut and shut. So I hope they work lol. Not my first rodeo cutting an odd tread to either bring down or up in rim size.. but this was the worst pattern to cut through.

I can only imagine the scorpios being worse lol.

Not much work for me into this build, a little bit of thought went in the rear servo mount. The front mounts I got lucky with. Erik Dye cut the threads on my Ti links. the motor on the chassis should actually be parallel to the ground at ride height. Some thought went into that lol.

I've only used the dremel once on this build... I must be doing something right.

Thanks. I'm getting pretty excited myself. Its first shakedown should be in a few weeks.

As of right now, funds are keeping me stuck with some existing esc's and motors I have laying around. I need to keep the project funds open for the 2 futaba HSP A700 servo's this rig will be running.

Current esc's and motor combo's ill be using for now will be a pair of mamba micro x's and trinity d3.5 13.5 turn motors.

I have my eye on two rx8 esc's and holmes puller pro stubbies in the future. The rx8's will get decased and smashed. I've taken them apart plenty of times.. 1/8 scale racing is fun till the battery posts fall off...

Cut and shut the scorpios today. An incredibly sticky tire to deal with.. I still need to run a bead of rubberized ca glue on both pairs of tires for this build. Tires will get glued up to the rims this friday.

All four wheels now have tires glued to them with foams inside, what a suprize!

Working on a titanium driveshaft, universals will not be Ti. Just the shaft itself.

Txt drive shaft telescopes i love it. I hope it holds up though.
